I wish that the skylines on the cap were more visible, instead of being on the lower bill. Unless the bill was flipped up Wesley Snipes (on White Men Can't Jump) style.

I just wish the skyline on the bill was clearly ours.  Sure looks like a jumbled skyline with some buildings either not really here or outnof place.

If Jacksonville and Miami had a bastard child not named Orlando, this is what it would look like:

Well they still have time to fix it.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

LOL, a 1980s Cocaine Cowboys era Miami skyline at that!

The Panthers picked up Jordan Todman. We are definitely very thin at RB; Filling in this displacement should be a priority in the draft.

^^^Hopefully we'll find a way to get Gurley in the second round.

I would honestly rather have Melvin Gordon over Gurley - if available in the second round.  I still have a hard time believing a RB will be drafted in the first round due to the NFL being such a pass first league now. A RB who runs as hard as Gurley will have a massive question mark hanging over his head after an ACL tear.

I'm starting to believe that ACL injuries are getting less and less 'career defining' injuries as they have been in the past.  AP's stellar comeback aside, there have been many athletes coming back from ACL/MCL injuries and still being able to perform at a high level.

I believe it's getting to the point where an ACL surgery is now the football equivalent to baseball's Tommy John surgery, where athlete's are coming back as strong, if not stronger, after the surgery than before.  See Stephen Strasburg, Matt Wieters, Jordan Zimmerman - all throwing as well or better after than before.

The flip-side to the debate is that you also have guys like Marcus Lattimore who never actually recovered completely or at least not to a point that he was mentally prepared to play again and willing to risk a life altering injury.

Lattimore's injury was much more than just the ACL. His entire leg was snapped in half on that tackle. But it's such a case by case basis on how someone returns from an ACL injury even with today's modern advances in medicine. Some guys may come back just as strong like AP, but others may not return to their previous level of athletic ability like Sam Bradford (must be an OU thing and ACL's).   But one thing is for sure, after tearing it once, you are just a bit more susceptible to tearing it again. I know because I've torn mine 3 times - 2 of which were within 12 months of each other after 8 months of non stop rehab.

^^^This. All day. Certainly, ACL injuries aren't as disastrous like they once were, but If I were a GM, I'd still be afraid of using such a high pick on Gurley.

Former Raiders center Stefen Wisniewski came to Jax for a visit. Getting him would be a good pickup, as we really need depth at center. If signed, he more than likely would take the starting position from Luke Bowanko.

No Sen Derrick Marks no!!!! Oh boy, the PC police are gonna lose their minds. A controversial statement relating to gays and women? Oh boy, here we go...I can imagine that the NFL will probably fine him.

QuoteJacksonville Jaguars lineman Sen'Derrick Marks strongly believes ... the NFL's move to hire the league's 1st female ref is more about publicity than talent ... and compares her to Michael Sam.
According to multiple reports, the NFL has hired Sara Thomas -- a pioneer in women's officiating -- to be the first female line judge in league history.
The move has drawn widespread praise from most ... but Marks says Thomas' hiring is less about progress and more about a league desperate for positive stories.
"For women, it's great," Marks says ... "Ain't nothing wrong with it, especially as long as she knows what she's doing."
However, Marks adds ... "It's just like the Michael Sam situation -- if he wasn't gay, he would've gone undrafted. Instead the league drafts him because I think they are trying to monopolize on every aspect of the world ... the same thing with hiring a female ref."
"For the league it's great publicity. The NFL is all about monopolizing every opportunity."
No matter what the reason, it seems Thomas has finally cracked the boy's club -- and Marks says now that she's in, he's rooting for her to succeed.
"I hope it works out for her."
