Man, what a class act.

Incredibly excited to have Julius Thomas in Jacksonville:

Nice!

Thanks for that, Ken.

What a great read that was!

Yeah, just seems like a genuinely awesome, interesting guy.

He already has plans to work out with Blake Bortles next week!

QuoteJaguars TE Julius Thomas to work out with Blake Bortles in California next week

New Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas isn't wasting any time getting to know his new quarterback.

Thomas texted Blake Bortles shortly after agreeing to a five-year, $46 million deal with the Jaguars.

"I told him that I was excited to be playing with him and looking forward to developing a great chemistry," Thomas said.

Bortles quickly responded.

"He invited me to come out to Southern California next week," Thomas said. "I live there, so it won't be a too much of a hassle to get out there and really start working on it."

That wasn't Bortles' only message.

"He's excited to have me," Thomas said. "He's excited about us growing together. I hear so much about his skill set and how much he wants to be great. I'm going to do everything I can to help him out with that. His size and mobility and arm strength are all things that will help him be very successful in this league. I'm ready to give him the knowledge that I've gleaned from others. I'm anxious to work with him and build that rapport."

We just claimed Bernard Pierce (RB) from the Ravens. He's definitey not the choir boy type, with his history. He doesn't seem any better than what we already have at RB. A pretty bizarre move...

Not really.  He doesn't cost us anything and showed some potential that ultimately didn't pan out.

Take him into camp and let him compete against Storm and D-Rob and see what happens.

Remember that after Forsett was dropped by us, he ran pretty well for Baltimore.  Maybe Caldwell's hoping for the same kind of magic?

I am excited to have a former Temple player on the Jags.  Go Owls!

Pierce is pretty talented and I like the way he runs.  Concerned about his recent troubles, though, of course.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!

I wish that the skylines on the cap were more visible, instead of being on the lower bill. Unless the bill was flipped up Wesley Snipes (on White Men Can't Jump) style.

Perspective, my man....

I'm only 5'-10", so I'll get a good view of the underside of the bill on people 6'-2" and over...
