I know a bunch of people are laughing that off (and I'm not saying you are, KenFSU) but . . . that strikes me not so much as humor but as a "Fuck You!" photo that screams, "Yeah, I did it, whatcha gonna DO about it, bee-otch!"

That's not what I want from my starting quarterback. Ever.

How did his people not know to avoid allowing that to happen at all costs?

How did he not know?

I don't care how much success he has in the pros, or how many games he won in college, I am supremely pleased he is not a University of Florida man or a FAMU Rattler. There are a bunch of Gators insisting he's a disaster waiting to happen (many who also insisted he's stupid, which he clearly is not) and that photo nudges me toward the disaster category.

Yeah, just to be clear, I think it's a pretty good sign that the guy hasn't really learned anything from the past few years.

In his new Bucs gear, no less.

Kind of like a certain 1st round draft pick by the Browns last year.

Thoughts on Dante Fowler's $7,000 shoes last night? Bigger red flag to me than Jameis with a little self deprecating humor (and a shot at the ridiculous sports media). Really though, both were just young kids having fun on the biggest night of their lives. I for one welcome characters, not robots. Does anyone remember when professional sports used to be fun, and not about media created drama?

Jameis' crablegs were a joke, but it's joke in reference to his own bad judgment. Not a great sign.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

I remember another first round UF defensive end that had a massive shoe collection (Derrick Harvey).  :)

Few things...

First, I LOVE the pick. I would have been happy with Williams or Fowler, but personally glad they went with Dante. I believe he fits our Defensive scheme and culture perfect. The kid has a swagger about him that I love.

I watched this kid come up through the ranks at UF, which if there was one thing Muschamp did right, it was produce defensive talent. He was by far the best talent I saw under Muschamp (excluding Vernon Hargraves).

Please do not look at his numbers on paper, this kid caused havoc on almost EVERY play. He's still not a polished pass rusher, but that can be coached, and I expect him to pick up quick.

Also, not that I've seen it on the here, but the comparison to Derek Harvey is WEAK. PLEASE STOP.

Go Jags!

Ouch. Don't go there; I agree on the weak comparison, no way is Dante (3rd overall) another Derrick Harvey (8th overall).

And you seriously think those shoes are a bigger red flag. Seriously?

Shaun King told the story behind the crag leg picture, which, okay, fine. But still, who with any sort of PR background would think letting him post that made sense?

Lol. You're going to feel pretty dumb reading this article. He was sent the crab legs for free for helping one of the deadliest catch guys at Mike Alsott's charity function.

Hard for me to say considering the cess pool of a school he attended, but I'd be pretty ecstatic to see Duke Johnson in a Jags uniform this year.
LOL. Duke comes from a very clean college program. Might as well be the Harvard of the South! However, don't worry, he'll be in a Dolphins uniform by the end of the night.

Why on earth would I feel dumb when I already knew that. I'm in Tallahassee, with a bunch of Nole friends. That's not news to me. My response, and most of theirs too, is SO WHAT! Send the damn picture to the damn guy, fine. You don't post it for the world to see. Only someone with remarkably poor judgment does that.

Yes, Harvard of the South.  ;)
It's no wonder why Stephen Morris never got any consideration as a Rhodes Scholar.

T.J. Yeldon for the Jags 2nd selection -- another *very* solid pick.

I-10east

^^^I agree. I know that Denard has to have a chip on his shoulder with the Jags with picking Yeldon, and that's great for competition at the RB spot.

Overall (from it's horrible new website to it's programming) ESPN has fallen behind the curve dramatically. The 'Picks up next' bottomline during the draft, NFL Network has FIFTEEN teams listed, and ESPN just has TWO....The whole time on ESPN, I'm like 'when are the Jags picking' go to NFL Network, oh, now I know...
