QuoteV Pizza is bringing its wood-fired pizza to the beach with a second location at Jacksonville Beach.

I wonder how their San Marco location is doing?

You never know - opening location #2 isn't always indicative of location #1's success...

Jax Beach shot down Surfer the Bar last month in the old Mangos. I've been to their location in Hawaii and it is awesome. That bar along with V Pizza would have been a great pairing of relatively higher quality establishments for the beach bars area. I heard that V Pizza wasn't thrilled with that decision, but glad they are still moving forward.

Yeah, I believe the intention was always to roll out to multiple locations. So they may just be sticking to the plan.

My thoughts as well.

I'm not exactly asking for financial statements, but can anyone speak to how well their SM location is doing?

I've been once - too drunk to remember how good the pizza was - believe it was one of those 11:30 p.m. Sidecar situations (oops!)...drive by all the time...long story short: no idea if people actually go here for lunch, which I suspect is their target audience (SM/DT lunch crowd).

For what it's worth, the inside of this place looks eerily like Antico in ATL. Not a knock on V...but it's almost like they went into Antico, took a picture, left, and said to themselves "let's recreate this..identically"

Antico, has a bit more confort and isn't so eerily franchise feeling.

If V would copy Antico's pizza then maybe I would go back...

It's always busy every time I've been there, ranging from brisk to busting at the seams. The weird layout, where you can't see the inside of the restaurant from the front, makes it hard to tell if they're busy, or even open. Mainly families from what I've seen. Though I expect they also get a nice revenue from the later bar crowd who order pizza.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?
