^ I have got to try chopstick charley's. Grew up a half mile from there but I always thought it was closed, heh.

As for the inspection reports, c'mon that's what an immune system is for people! A little rodent fecal matter never hurt anyone...too badly.

Who gives a shit....

I've actually eaten at Chopstick Charley's on Philips, on multiple occasions, where molded ceiling is literally falling into my food and dishes were sitting around from days ago. Food was tasty!!  ;D

Damn you're brave, I really really want to try that place, it looks like it's been there forever (which from the outside looks like the last time they cleaned it), but I just don't have what it takes.

It's going on my bucket list :)

Went by Chopstick Charley's the other day at lunch time and the place was packed. Saw 4 cars. Still have an open contest if anyone can show a pic about the new Waterways signage Downtown that was never before the Jacksonville Waterways Commission I'll treat you to Chopstick Charley's. We are so LOST.

I've never been to Kickbacks. Anyone want to trade a future lunch swap. I'll treat at Chopsticks and you can do Kickbacks. CD, Ben, anyone interested?

Lol, unfair swap! You'd have to buy a lot of underpriced rat poop tainted chopstick Charlie's to make up for the price of the overpriced rat poop tainted kickbacks!

What? Carefully explain what this means?

Riverside's darling restaurant, Hawkers got hit hard for similar infractions. Somehow, that is not news, but Kickback's is? Ever seen the size of the kitchen at Kickback's? They are working to get into a larger space, give 'em a break, or not, but most of the patrons could care less, they trust Steve and the staff!

I trust Steve too!

I recall working at "The Golden Buddha", (relax all...eastern North Miami, easterly side of Biscayne Blvd for Google Searchers, decades ago). Great edumacation.
Golden Duck;dropped, plopped on the kitchen floor and trampled repeatedly during frenetic evening rush. Eventually headed to the dinning room.

The proprietor/owner was a hot head. Most us locals could hardly understand him. He freely brandished a Colt .38."Detective Special"...six shot,so outdated now,yet worth $$$$.Interesting that as an employee,I would so clearly have the opportunity to note (and Know) such details.
Diversity and ballsy hands on entrepreneurship making North Miami what it is!!!! Bow down.

It was great reaching way down in to the tea leaves barrel, scooping up tea for brewing, breathing in deeply.I recall sneezing while basically upside down.

We eventually got the proprietor arrested on charges not related to food stuff. Easier than pressing pressed Duck.

Nice little story. Colorful. Reminds me of my early days working in a 24/7 fruit market with no walls. Sold everything, not just fruit. In 20-30 years it never closed. Couldn't, because it would be robbed blind (remember, it had no walls). Worked the case register; they kept a hand gun under the counter, but I was terrified that I might have to use it. Never had to, thank God.
