Interesting choice. I think its cool to end your career in your hometown and for a team you watched growing up. I hope he has a good year.

Im finding the Raiders odd though. Everybody is starting to call the oldest team in the NFL. They sure have brought in alot of old heads that are on the "wrong side of their career". LOL I just dont like that method because even it does help, they may improve for a year, maybe two, then start losing again. I love the build through the draft, and supplement through free agency strategy.

Any post-pro day quarterback thoughts on Teddy versus Blake versus Johnny?

Who, if any, would you take at #3?

Or would you trade back, maybe to a lower top-10 pick, and hope that a QB was still on the board?

You know Im at the point it doesnt matter. I just want them to whats best for the franchise. Personally, We need a QB period. Im not really sold on Bortles, he just seems to be another gabbert. Has all the physical traits GM's love, but can he play in the NFL. I think Teddy would be my pick. He's the safest pick. I feel he's going to be anywhere from solid-elite in the NFL. Johnny Football is the wild card. He is definately boom or bust. I was going with the scenerio of us taking a QB in the 2nd round, but thats a risk because there may not be much there.

I don't pay much attention to the Pro Days. I think all three have obvious flaws and I don't think that is where the Jags go in the first round.

As for the three....

I like Bridgewater. I think he is a solid QB that will be solid in the NFL. If he was a potential second round pick, I think he would be a great value. He has a nice arm but his slight frame could be an issue.

I have to say I do not get the Bortles thing. I have some good friends that are UCF boosters and I have been to a bunch of games. I never saw Bortles as a future NFL quarterback. He was pretty average.

I like what Manziel does but I think he could be an injury waiting to happen, similar to Mike Vick. I think he has a good arm and is a natural playmaker but I don't know how that translates to the NFL. With his college pedigree, his personality and his fame I think he would be a great face of the franchise for a team that does not have one. But I don't know if that is worth passing on elite talent like Clowney or Watkins.

Good to see Mojo already bad mouthing the Jags.  He has another chip on his shoulder I see and felt he was done wrong. Lol. Man this diva's schtick gets old.  Good riddance.

From PFT:

After waiting for 17 days for a new contract from a new team, veteran running back Maurice Jones-Drew returned to California on Friday, inking a three-year contract with the Raiders.

In his introductory conference call (via Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle), Jones-Drew said that he'll have a "chip on [his] shoulder," and that "I know I felt like I was done wrong" by the Jaguars.

It's unclear how or why he was "done wrong."  Jones-Drew earned every dollar of a five-year, $31 million contract.  Two years ago, the Jaguars opted not to give Jones-Drew a new contract after he held out in an effort to get one.  Last year, he made $4.95 million — nearly $1.5 million above the annual average at the top of the veteran market for running backs.

So before assessing whether the Jaguars did Jones-Drew wrong, it'll be interesting to see how much he'll make in 2014, 2015, and 2016 from the Raiders.  It could be that the market continues to do veteran running backs wrong, and that the Jaguars actually did Jones-Drew right in 2013 by paying him a lot more than he made once he finally made it to the open market.

The fact that the numbers haven't already been leaked suggests that Jones-Drew would love to be getting the $4.95 million this year that he received last year in Jacksonville.

He is unbelievable. As the article stated exactly how was he done wrong?? Hell we practically ripped up his eookie contract and completely kick Freddie to the curb fir him. He got an early payday and most players cant say they got that. Ungrateful ass jerk. Im done with him seriously. He needs to grow the hell up. He doesnt have to show his face around here again and I wouldnt be bothered. Hell we gave Brunnell and Taylor the boot and they never bad mouthed the Jags like that. Im pissed now.  >:(
