The guy in Utah chose to die by firing squad. There were 5 guns on a table, fixed and only certain guns had bullets, so the guards would not know who killed the perp. The guy wanted to die by firing squad because he wanted more notoriety. Give them sparky from now on, sure its capital, but firing squad is too easy for people.

Homicides will go back up when the criminals have cheap money to spend on guns and drugs. The economy helps keep them down as there is less money available to bad people.
And, that $115 will save Jacksonville from financial ruin. - Mayor John Peyton

"This is a game-changer. This is what I mean when I say taking Jacksonville to the next level."
-Mayor Alvin Brown on new video boards at Everbank Field

I don't agree with you about that particular statement, but I do think if justice were served more quickly and measures such as these implemented more often we might see a major decrease in crime. Personally whether the victim or the survivor of, it would do me no good to watch someone lose their life.  I guess others like though, so to each their own.

They dont have to watch it, but payper view could raise money and give to them letting other people pay if they wanted to see it. There is a market out for it, I say go grab it and do some good with that money.

With all due respect Sportmotor.. no offense intended..  People that get some thrill by watching others die , have something terribly wrong with their thinking.  That said, I get your theory in giving the proceeds to the victim's family.    Personally if I lose a loved one , by whatever means , especially murder, I seriously doubt money would make me feel better , or watching the murderer die, make my pain less.   I respect your opinion.  i just do not agree .
