Went to Uptown and City Kidz for the first time Saturday after RAM.  Been talking it up at work all day.  The folks at City Kidz were unbelievably friendly.  Im coming back this week for some chicken and waffles!

The turkey avacado and the roast beef at Uptown were ridiculous! 

Tried stopping by Three Layers but saw how busy it was and just went home... didn't realize that was for a chili cookoff.  Should have stayed

Shorty's Seafood is now open at 8th and Pearl.  Besides fresh fish and shrimp, crab cakes, and hot fish stew and clam chowder.  Yum!  I didn't even have to cook last night.  They'll filet the fish for you and clean the shrimp if you wish.  They are open until 6:00, and I think a little later on weekends.

Yes, the shrimp were yummy.  The first day I was there, they also had tilapia, whiting, and croakers that I remember. If you want something special, let them know. They'll try to get it for you.

Did I read that right?? Clam Chowdah??? I'll definitely be checking that out.. Ever since I moved to Florida I've been looking for good chowdah.. I'm convinced that it doesn't exist down here, but I never stop looking...
