Please tell me that those concrete benchs will NOT be around when the Main St. streetscaping project is completed.

Nice to see tower crane bases at the DCCH site.

Good to see something moving. The start of the courthouse construction pics brought a tear to me eye (for a number of reasons).

It's a crying shame that in a metro of 1.3 million persons we get all excited by just two buildings, Wolfson and the Courthouse. Is it just me or did anyone else hear of any other new or renovated buildings? Usually with something big like the new courthouse going up it tends to spin off energy on surrounding projects. Do we even have another proposed "Project" in this area?

From the looks of it, the Wolfson site didn't have any signs of progress from months ago.  How do we still not know what the intended use of that white building is on King street? I am excited to see what that is going into the shops of Avondale.

Oh not another dead project; I'm questioning if the new Hilton will even survive without a freeway ramp or some other direct access... Maybe we should pray for a Seminole Indian invasion on that old JEA plant site?

Man, what is taking Fuddruckers sooo long? It's been over a year now - Chicago Pizza (which we already have 2 of) will be built before them!

Hold and dead are two different concepts.  Many sizeable health care projects are being delayed by the ObamaCare initiative.

How about the "new" gas station at the corner of Philips and Baymeadows were the Exxon was?  Now that's BIG news in the BIG city  :D !

If you are desperate enough, you could include the new Hendricks Avenue Baptist sanctuary replacing the one destroyed by fire.  It's "almost" San Marco.

The biggest non-Courthouse project in Jax under construction is likely the I-95/I-10 interchange.  For updates, etc. see http://www.thebigi.info/

No, it isn't because of this health care plan. They put this on hold last fall due to the recession because they wouldn't be able to get proper financing, or whatever it was.

Well, for the narrow area that this monthly article reports on, I think that's good, all things considered. I've seen several other condo projects proceeding around town, so growth continues. These make me nervous now and not celebratory as I fear ever more inventory in an overladen market and a continued downward pressure on prices.

Alright, whatever you think, just presenting the fact, not the fiction.
