Alright, whatever you think, just presenting the fact, not the fiction.

You might have a strong opinion that Obama's new health care plan is not the cause of the hospital being put on hold, but there is no way to prove it one way or another.  You can't call a speculation a "fact" as opposed to "fiction."

Hmm, if you go back, Baptist/Wolfson's released a statement saying it is on hold, long before this proposed health care overhaul.

I just find it funny people are trying to tie in this ObamaCare plan with a months prior to the fact announced hospital expansion tower. The economy ground the tower to a halt, not this health care overhaul proposal. Go back into the Wolfson's thread and read the facts, before twisting it, trust.

Here's the T-U article as well:

In looking at the pics of "Uptown Market" in Springfield...is this going to be a "market" or more of a food joint?  I can't tell from the pics...

The one thing I have noticed about 3rd and Market is the lack of any signage. When driving down Main St you have no idea that there are new businesses ahead. They need to improve thier signage.

They've been working on Main Street now forever; any word on timeline completion of this project and how far north it will extend?

^^^FSU, you are right on!  The signage is absolutely terrible.  I was trying to find a picture of signs that they could add to the building in keeping with the look and feel.  When I came across this article, I had to laugh because it goes against what I was thinking.  To each his own.

I've been hearing rumors of Burrito Gallery opening another location at 3rd and Main.  Good news for Springfield.

Wolfson Children's Hospital addition is on hold.

Oh not another dead project; ............

Hold and dead are two different concepts.  Many sizeable health care projects are being delayed by the ObamaCare initiative.

Good God.  This crap has gone beyond tedious.

I don't have any images to share but two of the three cranes at the courthouse site are now fully up.

How much of the courthouse project needs to be completed to instill enough confidence in surrounding development?

thelakelander

Imo, give it a few months.  The courthouse under construction is one thing.  The bank's willingness to lend money to major construction projects in downtown Jacksonville is another.

now now, you should not be doing 80mph through a construction zone :-)
