I'm hoping that this thread turn into another Blue Moon, you can't pay for that level of entertainment

In other news a bunch of people got shot over the past few months, some of them died.  A large amount of drugs were sold and bought.  Hookers prowl at all hours and that crazy homeless lady who flashes everyone is still wandering around Main street.

But, by God, let's have a witch hunt for some guy with a poodle.  I have a poodle, but she wasn't poopin nowhere near Springfield.

in short -- yeah, whotf cares?

I too thought that at first, but this heart-warming story is a nice break from all the other downtrodden mess that plagues the city.

I say, clean up behind your dog when in the in town neighborhoods,  but leave their business behind if you're in Ponte Vedra or a gated country club, because you know someone else will clean it up.

:P

according to Merriam-Webster on line. witch hunt:
1 : a searching out for persecution of persons accused of witchcraft
2 : the searching out and deliberate harassment of those (as political opponents) with unpopular
views

How is  posting information of the person who refuse to pick up after his dog poo a "which hunt"?

And, BTW, because there are so many things that still need to be fixed in Springfield, it is even more important for everybody to be vigilant and call in ALL crimes and misdemeanors.

HERE ME NOW AND UNDERSTAND ME LATER

Irrespective of law (I mean, the supreme court is going to decide today that strip-searching a 13 year old for advil is a.okay), a dog crapping on your lawn (especially just once) is simply not a crime.
An annoyance, yes.  A crime?  No.

Get over it!

fatcat

base on gmpalmer's logic, there are much worse things happening in this world, so it is OK to behave uncivilized and break the law. In fact, he suggest the law bidding citizens  to "get over it"

look at all the garbage people leave behind, such as  chip bags, food wrappers, some times "you know what" wrappers, empty beer bottles and condoms....  those garbage damages our environment. Just because you do not care if dog pooped is deposit on your lawn, does not mean other people have to put up with those shit.

Why do we have neighborhood clean up events? Because people such as gmpalmer  leave those garbage all over our neighborhood for the rest of us to clean. And he has the audacity to tell us to "get over it".

gmpalmer

No, there are much worse things happening in the neighborhood, so get off your fatcat rear end and do something about it.

Calling the police, asking folks if they were the ones who had a crappy dog is just stupid.  Clean it up and move on with your life.

And I don't leave garbage in anyone's neighborhood, though if you'd like me to start leaving trash on your yard I'll be happy to.

Would that engage your histrionics at the proper level?

Sigma

isn't dog poo organic?  I.e., doesn't it breakdown rather quickly vs bottles, wrappers, old cloths (garbage)?

there are worse things out there to be upset about - like your neighbor collecting all of their dog poo from their yard in a bucket and dumping it over the fence into your yard!

Perhaps we could form another organization. The Springfield Dog Poop Beautification Group.

Sorry, couldn't resist.  ;)

The REAL problem with dog poop on the lawn is that it leaves behind lush green spots in the grass that make the rest of your lawn look bad.
When all else fails hug the dog.

Geez, I wish dog poop were the only thing I had to worry about in my part of Springfield. I would welcome that over all the other issues.
