I think we've had some poor GMs, poor talent evaluators, but when you get down to it, I think the owner should take some blame too.

It's 100% on Khan. He's hired bad people and been way too patient with them. There's no other franchise that would have kept Bradley for four putrid seasons. And Caldwell was GM for eight seasons and only once had a team win more than six games.

The Jags are looking much improved.  TE Arnold was a nice addition.  Wish they wouldn't keep attacking the middle of the Bengals run defense.  The stop at the goal line was disappointing.  Go Jags!

Interesting decision to start the second half in prevent defense.

We at least can rest easy knowing we finally have a quarterback. TL will be just fine moving forward. But my goodness, this team has almost zero playmakers. Myles Jack was doing the whirly bird all night in coverage. Our D line couldn't apply pressure to a whoopy cushion even if they tried to sit on it. As I mentioned in a previous post, this team is just void of NFL caliber talent in too many positions to allow them to win. Thanks Dave.

Yet... improvement every week.
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Agree.  A big improvement in pass defense would work wonders.

Pretty much. They have a franchise quarterback, which is the most difficult position to find. But they desperately need playmakers on defense. They aren't getting near the opposing quarterback.

Last night was an improvement. Keep working and that losing streak will come to an end soon.

19 consecutive losses
2nd longest losing streak in NFL history. The longest was 26 by the expansion Bucs in the 70's. Let's hope they Jags keep improving and don't break the record.

Not only did the bar incident happen, but turns out that Meyer skipped the team flight home last week to stay in Ohio. Sounds like he's lost the locker room.

According to this Sports Illustrated writer:

1) The Urban Meyer situation in Jacksonville has reached a crisis point, especially in the locker room. One player told me, 'He has zero credibility in that stadium. He had very little to begin with.'

2) Players were particularly put off by the fact that Meyer canceled Monday's team meeting, as he dealt with the uproar over the videos of him and a young woman getting cozy in that Ohio bar. 'He even canceled the team meeting. He was too scared,' a player said.

3) Instead Meyer 'only apologized to position groups individually.' He portrayed the woman in the videos as a random person who was 'just there dancing.' Suffice it to say, his audience was highly skeptical.

4) Said one player: 'We looked at him like, WTF? Right when he left everyone started dying laughing. And he knew it.'

5 Bottom line, said the player: 'It's bad. I don't know how he's gonna function.'

Him staying in Ohio while the team flew back seems like a bigger deal than the video.

My guess is he's gone in the next week or two.

I was mostly kidding when I said this at the beginning of the year... but now it seems like it could become reality
