Sad to see Taco Bodega closing. It had good food and was a nice complement to Fishweir Brewery next door.

QuoteOwner Mark Ballinger said that while the restaurant received positive feedback during its run, there just simply wasn't enough customers coming through the door.

can't see past the paywall. this is strange; I was in there last night (their taco tuesday deal is fantastic) and there seemed to be plenty of patrons.

I thought they did a good business between people in their place and all the orders coming from the brewery but apparently not considering the below quote.

Quote"Basically, it just wasn't financially stable," Ballinger said, adding that in recent months the business was essentially breaking even. "We never got to the critical mass that we needed."

They had co-owners from Maple Street. Possibly the sale to Cracker Barrel made this business not worth the effort.

That last part, that it is connected to the sale of Maple Street to Cracker Barrel, has a lot of chatter on Facebook - perhaps that CB required getting out of other restaurants.  Seems strange, as I don't think CB sells tacos.

I tried it a couple times and thought it was just okay. But they seemed to do decent business.

Went once. It was good. New taco place in Five Points did not help. Also down the street is El Jefe.....

The only thing of note about this place was that you could order their food from the brewery. They had too many tacos on the menu, and too many of them were swing and misses. The patio in the back is really nice though.

Never was ever really impressed with this place or its predecessor B Street eats.

I wish Knead/Bold Bean Roastery was still there. Those two were a great combo.
