I can't imagine there's enough frontage between the garage and the street to build any townhomes. They'd have to be mighty narrow (like, hallway width).

I don't know exactly how big the frontage is supposed to be, or how close the garage appears to be to the street, but the rendering makes it look like the houses would have gone so close to the sidewalk that there would be no grass in some places because of the house being directly against it.
So, to the young people fighting in this movement for change, here is my charge: march in the streets, protest, run for school committee or city council or the state legislature. And win. - Ed Markey

I drove by today and there isn't enough frontage to build a townhome in front of that garage. I was hoping for a design closer to the townhomes/parking garage at Hyde Park Village in Tampa.

I don't know but in a pedestrian area I'm glad there is not a big set back.

I walked by, and stuck my head inside the fence to get a good look in front of the garage, and there is enough room to put the small town homes in the renderings on that site. If you look at the renderings the town homes are almost on the street, so I think I will wait to pass judgement, because I thought the developer was trying to get away with not building them in front of the garage.

I live a couple of blocks from there and just peeked my head in 30 minutes ago. There's a good 20 feet or more between the garage and the side walk and if you look at the renderings on their website, not only does it show town homes on multiple views of the renderings, it also shows them as being pretty thin, which would certainly fit in that space.

It looks like they are putting in plumbing for the townhouses that will be between the garage and the street.

The construction documents online on the SJRWMD's website show narrow townhomes between the garage and street.

Some kind of Urban Nirvana....open door and centerline of the street is Right There. Sit on the tiny porch,wineglass in hand and watch traffic watch you.

Somehow this particular viewscape was missed during past euphoric community acceptance and applause for the project while viewing "elevation" drawings.

On a positive note;

Earlier Applicant Proposal included a public walkway along the creek bank/Herschel to St Johns...that quickly disappeared....as did the earlier "Marina" concept.
Excellent,this section at the mouth of Fishweir more a boating destination than a boat dock......area residents to access this open water.

Final Plans note "Conservation Easement" along creek boundary. The Easement was Efficacious. That was easy!! 8)

Interesting how these discussions here go to Blank....
