Dancy Terrace seems to pop up every 4 or 5 years, hopefully it works out.  Heres some history, can't find the thread that showed the insides of the couple that got renovated before they went belly up

"Each house is currently priced at $189,900"

Thanks for the morning chuckle.

You realize that quote is from the 2007 article?

It would be a great place for affordable housing connected to the Jacksonville School of Arts a couple blocks up that was discussed. Would be great for collaboration.

Yes, I am aware of the date on the article.

I bought a 4br 2300sq ft home for $90k two blocks from there at the same time (with new electric, plumbing, HVAC, and roof). It's no wonder why no one was interested in living among squalor for those outrageous prices.

Fantastic interview.

Springfield to this day is a riddle.  I have sold many homes there to happy residents. Others, the mere mention of Springfield and they laugh in my face.  I have always told potential buyers, "in Springfield, it's one foot in front of the other. It's a slow steady progress."

It's also block to block. Some blocks are great, some are still blighted. I love what Terra Wise is doing in the area!

I see the value and have been interested in moving there (I often work downtown). My wife, for a variety of reasons, will not consider it.

I just love Dancy Terrace.  I've driven through there repeatedly over the past three decades.  I have no idea why, I just am intrigued by the whole development, the decline and hopefully its resurrection.

These are renting for about $800-$850/mo, I believe.

Update: half the bungalows should be renovated by early 2019. The owners have had no problem getting tenants. They're trying to figure out the best way to handle parking.
