Fat Cats Reopening?

Over the last month I have noticed workers moving equipment / material in late night and very recently they have started re-roofing. I see no work permits for this building on the city's site. I get the impression they are trying to get everything done without anybody noticing.

Anybody have any additional info on this?

I haven't seen anyone moving anything. Are you sure it's not just work for Magnolia's Pub across the street?

mresident

Most recently it was a preassembled bar through the front door of Fat Cats. Unless Magnolia's Pub is the same owner, I doubt it was for them.

I'll ask around at the MHPA meeting Thursday night (7PM at Maple Street).
It's time to move past being a city with potential, and become a city living up to it's potential.

Did you find anything out about this?

No one had seen or heard anything about it.

Reviving an old post here but any new news on Fat Kat's? Looks like someone is working on it very slowly. I've peeked inside through the delapidated doors and there are at least two massive holes in the roof and the place looks gutted.

I hope something happens to that building soon. It's in a nice spot, hopefully it doesn't get demolished.

The COJ Permits page says that a permit was issued on 3/30/17 to do: "Interior alteration, clean up and remove non-load bearing walls."

Peeking in the doors it is definitely gutted now. There are some pretty big holes in the roof too.

I recently heard a brewery and grocery store are planned for this space. I don't know any other details but I was wondering if anyone else heard about this.

Looks like there's a brewery that'll be opening in the old Fat Cats space. Fishweir Brewing. More info:

Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Excellent!!

btw that link took me to the second page which doesn't discuss the brewery. Here's the intro page:
