Are you kidding me?  Mega Church inside a desolate shopping mall . . . . I will be there every day!  Where else can you get Jesus, those amazing butter and cinnamon coated pretzel bites and cheap, buy one get two 50% off useless knock off items all in a divinely enlightening one-stop shopping/worshiping experience?  Throw in a set of new tires while you're at it!  Come on doooooooooowwwwwnnn!

I'm glad they found a place, but this is basically the end of Regency as a retail location. The church will separate the 2 sides of the mall (the west side was mostly dead anyways). I don't see how the mall will bounce back, at least not to any sort of retail destination.

The strip mall that hosts 11:22 isnt complaining. They just leased yet more space for retail and 11:22 rented the old Winn Dixie to open a high value thift store.

11:22 has nightly events Wed-Sun.

Al's Pizza sure has loved the new found business they brought in, so has the Bono's across the street.

Any successful examples of regional malls being revitalized by churches moving in to anchor spaces? Every example I'm familiar with has resulted in a transition from a traditional regional retail destination into something more local or outright different.

Crazy turnaround for this plaza. It was pretty much left for dead when Wal-Mart moved up the street to Hodges, but it's booming now.

This should really just be a temporary move for the church until they figure out what they are going to repurpose the whole entire Regency area into 20 to 30 years from now.  Such a good location (in fact all of Arlington is) but such an ugly mess.  It would almost better serve the community as a giant, nicely landscaped park as opposed to a giant heap of concrete contributing minimal tax revenue for the city.

According to the Daily Record, the International Décor Outlet has leased the entire west end of the mall.
