Bittersweet news. Certainly good for the team but he was a fun guy to watch and root for. Hope he has no hard feelings and comes back when his playing days are over.

He'll be back, Scobee has a good chance at a ring now, would be the only reason I would root for the Steelers if they were to make it this yr

How does he have a good chance at a ring? The Steelers defense is not very good, Pouncey might be out for the year, their running back and 2nd best receiver have upcoming drug suspensions. They have not even won a playoff game since 2010.

Absolutely. Plus, his contract was up at the end of the year. If the Jags failed to sign him, then we just let one of the league's best kickers go for zero compensation.

There is so much hysteria out there over this. Frankly, I was shocked when I first head, but after reading up on it...I calmed down.

When I used to wait tables, I served Scobee twice, and he was AWESOME both times, so don't know where that's coming from.

I can't remember ever hearing a negative word about Josh Scobee.

Everyone I know who has interacted with him goes out of their way to praise what a funny, genuinely nice guy he is.
