Chick fil a @ SJ & Oak Bluff - What a Cluster

I saw that the city put up soft barricades to stop people from making the left on Oak Bluff (coming from SJ) because the signs and specially designed concrete curbs weren't enough to stop people.  On my way home tonight I saw 3 cars make U-Turns because of the soft barricades.  Two folks actually drove through lawns to make their U-Turns (I guess it was better to damage someones lawn than damage their paint by driving over the barricade).

Looks like the protesters were right.  The only way I think it'll be fixed is by completely closing the Oak Bluff entrance.

Two entrances are required for fire dept access IIRC.

I think it'll die down once the "newness" wears off. Heck, the new Arby's across the street is busy...and it's Arbys!! :D

I give Chick Fil A credit. They've managed to convince millions of parents that their food is better for their children than other fast food.

Well it might be slowing down but the U-turns haven't stopped.

I was speaking to someone about the 2nd entrance that carpnter said was a fire department requirement.  Their idea was to make it a locked gate that the truck can smash through if necessary.

Chick-fil-a is just better tasting than any other chicken around except Publix.

LOL.  Seriosuly?  You think they are going to drive a fire truck through a gate Dukes of Hazard style?  Not sure if serious.

There was a gate put on a utility easement near me, chained shut.  Word is the fire department has a "universal key" - more commonly known as "bolt cutters".

Dog Walker

We live behind a couple of metal gates.  I asked a neighbor, who is a JFRD member, how they would get to my home to put out a fire.  Her reply was that they would let nothing stand between them and a fire and the one of their gasoline powered saws would make short work of the hinges on my gates.  "Take and extra fifteen seconds", she said.
When all else fails hug the dog.

The CFA at the River City Marketplace is always packed. The line is always AROUND the building. It gets to the point that the people at the window picking up their order can't pull away because the end of the line is blocking them from leaving. Turns into a circled wagon train.
It's been there for a few years so not sure if the newness will ever wear off. AND there is an Arby's across the street there as well.
If you are looking to make some money in the drive-thru business, RCMP is the place to be! Still room for some more franchises right next to the new UF hospital.
I could be wrong about that...it's been known to happen.
