Kerry Taylor got the axe. We have a good situation at WR so I figured he would be the odd man out. But it does suck because he was solid.

Allen Hurns from Miami might be the better of the two. I could see him making the practice squad and working his way into the team in year 2.

...or start in game 1 and have his first two catches go for TD's.

The above quoted post was from draft day. Knew he was a sleeper, but didn't expect him to be this good. Looks like we got lucky with a WR for once.

P.S. Damn Fins were like the anti-Jags today in the second half against New England.

What a terrible Sunday...

Been mixed for me.  The Bears choked, so I got eliminated on week one in a suicide pool. I'll also probably end up losing this week in my two fantasy football leagues.  However, OSU went down in flames last night to an ACC team, the Fins beat pretty boy Tom Brady convincingly today and the Cowboys are currently throwing up all over themselves.  Things couldn't be any better!

Can someone give me Gus' # so I can call and tell him to close the locker room bar?  I'm tired of these guys blowing a game after their 1/2 time locker room party.

I'm sure most of Jacksonville wants the Jags to be the ones carrying their coffin at their funeral. Nobody in this city is better at letting people down.

Great 1st half for Jags.  Watched the game at Sun-Ray.  Some local fans asked if they would consider showing it there.  They gave it a try and it was a great indoor tailgate with food and drink available.  They will be doing it again next Sunday.  Come support the Jags and Sun-Ray!   Our group is season ticket holders, looking for a great place to watch away games together. Sun-Ray delivered!

That is a fantastic idea. Thanks for sharing.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

My opinion: damn Scobee missing two fields goals?? Going into half 23-0 we might have been able to overcome our own issues and held on for a win.

0 for whatever on 3rd downs? Wonder what they'll be practicing this week.

jaxjaguar

Yeah, going into the half 23-0 would've completely change the flow of the game. Philly would've been a little more careless trying to catch up and their fans wouldn't have been as much of a factor early on. You could tell our center couldn't hear Henne's snap count multiple times.

I believe we were 3-15 on 3rd down...

Since Im not upset anymore I can think about things rationally. Henne still sucks butt, however we were playing with Rookie wide receivers, and some rookies on the O-line. As much as I hate to say this, the offense will be up and down this season, similar to how the defense was last year. Its too much youth and inexperience on that side of the ball. BUT Henne must go better if he wants to keep his job. As far as the run game, the run blocking is terrible.

As for the defense, the secondary seem to melt down once CYP was out the game. The pass rush seem to slow, but thats due to the Eagles getting the ball out quicker than they were in the first half. They didnt have a good second half but to be honest they should not have to carry the team. I dont care how good our defense plays, if the offense can put up points, we will not win PERIOD. They had 5 sacks and 3 turnovers, and we still lost because our offense couldnt produce. Im annoyed as hell right now, but its all a work in progress. It just makes me even more angry about the condition the previous regime left the franchise and the roster. They left a complete dumpster fire and Khan and company had to start from ground zero.

Regardless, the team I seen yesterday is still better than I anything I seen last year. We went up against a team that were playoff contenders last year and nearly pulled an upset. We just gotta keep working.
