I believe the official announcement will be today or tomorrow... but Maple Street will be coming to Murray Hill. Right next to the new Knead Bakery and across from Moon River (the old 1171 Grill location).

Nice. The First Block is turning into a decent commercial strip.

or WILL be, hopefully very soon. What's the hold up with Knead and Bold Bean? I know there were no definitive dates but seems like it's taking a long time.

On Knead's Facebook they said that they were hoping to open by July. I assume Boldbean will open around the same time as Knead.
If you go on Knead's Facebook you can see all of the renovations to their shop. It looks really nice so far.

Glad to hear a successful business with an established following is going into the 1171 location.  That front has so much potential, just needs a tenant that people actually want to patronize.  Now just need to revamp and repurpose Fat Kat...

Hopefully they'll open on Sundays as most Edgewood Avenue businesses seems to always be closed on Sundays.

I seriously doubt they will be open on sundays.

Well lets hope that they will be open.

You can pretty much guarantee that they won't be open on Sundays.

Neither the San Marco nor the beach location are open on Sundays, so there's no reason to think any new location will be.

Buforddawg

This is great news!  I love the San Marco location! I wish them the very best and to the residents of Murray Hill as well!

Any ideas on this? What would fit in well there?

A natural/farmers market, an arcade, a swing dance studio, burrito gallery or a taco Lu. If any of those places filled in thee ol fat Kat then I would be so happy.
