I'd take Hicken over Gator Frank. If nothing else, perhaps the Jags secretly want more FSU fans to turn off the radio and go to the games. What is 1010 going to do for FM broadcasting power?

So Sexton out as the voice of,the Jags to be replaced by Frank Frangie.  Hmmm, while not a big fan of Sexton not at all a fan of Frangie.  He will probably spend more time talking about his beloved Gators and Steelers than the game. Head scratcher.

Well said, I agree wholeheartedly.

They run a concurrent broadcast on 92.5FM.

WGNE FM99.9

Although 1010xl does a concurrent broadcast on 92.5 everyday, the Jags coverage will be on a stronger station WGNE FM 99.9

Thanks for clarifying / good to know.

Not sure  if you all saw this morning about the Bold City Brigade trip to NYC for the draft. A large contingent left on Jet Blue flight early this morning. The Jags had a tent set up in the concourse with goodie bags for the members. Jaxson was there also and was allowed on the plane for cheers prior to departure and then on the tarmac to guide plane out. It is pretty cool to see how the new regime is actually connecting with the fan base. Check out Big Cat Country for pics and You Tube video of Jaxon on the plane. Cool stuff. Go Jags!

Did any of the Jacksonville media cover this?

This should be a national special interest feel-good sports news story, and it doesn't even seem to be a local one.

I have seen it tweeted by some in local media. Perhaps there was coverage, but unless the Jags let the local media know they were doing it in advance not sure how local stations at least could have covered it.

^ A fair point.

I tend to get sensitive to it because the T-U is always full of commenters claiming the Jaguars never do anything in the community, never give back to their fans, etc. and the local media often ignores positive stories about what the Jaguars and their players are doing.  I don't think any franchise in pro sports gives as much of itself to its fans as the Jaguars do.

One more day until the draft. I will definately be heading to the bank as soon as I get off work tomorrow. I think I like this year better because of the spot were in. It will be more of a surprise who we draft. Usually the day of the draft, the teams in the one and two spot start spilling who they are going to select. But being we are at #3 and will be trying to trade, we dont know what they team is going to do.

I HATE the 8pm Thursday start time.  I HATE spreading it across three days.  I HATE the MAY 8 date.  Will probably only watch the first 3 picks... then read about the rest.   >:(
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Ya this is a quality draft stock year in which there almost seem to be no tea leaves to read on what's happening at the top and that has spilled on down. Do we trade down? Do we trade up? Is it a qb at 3 that some fans have demanded? I'm with you dude, this is gonna be a crazy one and I can't wait to get in the bank for it

The TU Commentators are usually ignorant folks who want to continue to see Tebow in a uniform. I don't read their rants anymore, few, and I mean, a very few, actually have a good argument. Jag players are always in the community and Wayne/Delores Weaver continue to give back and provide funding in our local community. Much more so than current owner Shad Khan, but time will tell if Khan gives back the same as the Weavers have to Jacksonville.

With 28 votes cast for the Jags pick... ther is no consensus.  Watkins garnered the most votes... but it could also be said that the vote was for "anybody but Watkins".

Enjoy the draft!
