14 - 1 o'clock games is a little disappointing. Also disappointing was the early rumors of a MNF game that was obviously just rumor. TNF is always fun but there's nothing quite like a Monday night game.

That MNF rumor was started and/or perpetuated by the clueless Sam Kouvaris.  The guy who guaranteed we would have a Monday night game this season and who also guaranteed that he-who-shall-not-be-named would be a Jaguar within a month of his pronouncement.  Honestly, I think he just tosses things out there to see if it will stick because he knows nobody will call him on it later.

Was listening to sportstalk radio and they were blasting the lack of 4 o'clock games in general.  Basically with every weekend having 10 games at 1 and 3 games at 4 makes it a harder sell for the DirecTV package.

Besides, with a Thu night game every week, they had to take away from somewhere.  Also, with CBS owning the Thursday night schedule, I am willing to believe that those games will be much better than in the past with MNF taking even a further slide down.

The over-air networks have always had a better production than the cable channels when it comes to football, IMO.

Seems like a logical explination... but I still want additional time at the tailgate! I am not a morning person.

Might as well have this pre-ordered for next May

Then I suppose your only option is to go more hardcore.  ;D

Since you're not a 'morning' person, how are you at being a 'still-going-from-last-night" person?  I would also recommend changing your work schedule so that they're not expecting you on the Mondays after a home game.
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Im cool with the schedule. I just hate that theyve screwed with all these road games so early. Not because I dont think its hard for the team, because they actually seem to be play well on the road, but because I have to wait so long for the first home game!! Im going to be going crazy.  :P

My friend from Philly just asked me if I was going to come up for the game. I told I would but she has to make sure those eagles fans dont try to murke me.. They are rowdy up there. That would be cool though. I havent been to an away game yet.

Don't do it! Baltimore is fairly close to Philly - meet your friend there and go that game instead. I'm pretty sure  the slums of Baltimore are safer than Lincoln Financial field.

I wouldn't be so sure in Baltimore either.  Those fans physically threatened my mom once.  (Tufsu excluded from this characterization, of course.)

One thing I can say Im proud of is that the Jags have by far some of the most friendly fans in the league. I guess its the southern hospitality in us :)

Or based upon our losing the past few years!  Losing tends to lower the smack talk.  :-\
