Thanks for the info, I-10.  I was unaware of a lot of that.

QuoteGus Bradley drew Toby Gerhart to Jacksonville

Posted by Mike Florio on March 21, 2014, 1:13 AM EDT

After four years of mainly watching Adrian Peterson run the ball in Minnesota, Toby Gerhart now has a chance to step out on his own.

Gerhart chose the Jaguars. On Thursday's edition of Pro Football Talk on NBCSN, Gerhart explained his decision.

"Their sell was Coach Bradley," Gerhart said.  "What Gus brings to the table and he has that enthusiasm that's charismatic.  I don't know it was something I was drawn to.  All the coaches acted the same way and they're super positive and optimistic about the future, and I wanted to be a part of it."

Gerhart is indeed part of it, and he instantly assumes a role of leadership.

"If MJD isn't back I'm going to be the oldest guy in the running back room," Gerhart said,  "and I'm going to be the one they look to to lead and that's going to be a role that I'm going to embrace and help this team to success, that's my main goal."

While Gerhart is still largely unproven at the NFL level, Jaguars fans have to be happy to hear that Bradley is persuading players with options to choose to play in Jacksonville.
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Sure is a night and day difference from del rio. He was known for being Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, moody, being your friend today and screaming tomorrow, being late to practice, etc. Players, just like employees, need consistency to feel comfortable.

MJD couldn't come to terms with the Steelers. Any chance that we'll be stuck with him (if he lowers his price)?

Mark Sanchez released by Jets after they signed Vick.

Does he pass the Jags QB sniff test?

I-10east

^^^I would've been more intrigued if we didn't already sign Henne. I don't think there's room for Sanchez, Henne, and a young drafted QB.

JayBird

^^ ummm maybe you all missed the Jets last season ... But I don't believe ANYONE wants Sanchez. And Jets fans who downright hate Vick are cheering this on just because it included Sanchez walking.

Sanchez is damaged goods. Jags would be better off spending any money that would go to him, taking the guys out for a night at Wackos or the Pony Showbar.

If that's an option, I would like to mention the fact that I am a 20 year season ticket holder.. and therefore get to be in the front of the Wackos line. Sanchez has to go to the back of that line.

Sanchez has to be one of the most strangest QB's Ive seen. He started off great, got Jets to the playoffs and the AFC championship for two years, then he turned into Gabbert. I really think that Rex Ryan ruin that team and sanchez suffered from it.

He was not the reason for the success though. Look up his TD/INT ratio and comp % in those first two years. He's just not very good.

And Rex Ryan's actually a pretty good coach, or at least one that's a lot better than some people give him credit for. He took an absolutely terrible team to just two games shy of .500 these last two seasons.

Rex Ryan has changed alot also. He completely lost the locker and everything was imploding. In the beginning he was to worried about being a celebrity (movies, commercials, etc) and being entirely to nice to the players. I think he has actually grown from all that happening. BUt again, I still believe Sanchez was victim of all that crap that was going on back then.
