There are probably at least 5 college QBs coming out this year with NFL talent....even if we are the 6th or 7th pick, we should be able to draft a QB with potential

That what Im thinking. As long as we get one, Im cool.  There are quite a few to choose from.

I am amazed at how many Jaguars "fans" are upset from today's win because it means we lose our shot at 1st draft pick. Since when has the silver lining to a gloomy cloud become the objective?

Who cares. Im more considered about winning a few and giving the team and fans a little confidence and excitement going into next season. If we end up picking 2, 3,4 or 5, it doesnt matter. We will still be drafting high and getting some good players. People are idiots when it comes to that. These are grown mean with a lot of pride (with some whose jobs are on the line), they are not going to lose just to get a draft pick.

General consensus is, there is not an Andrew Luck in the draft class. If we learned nothing from Shaq Harris, if its not there, dont force it No more AluAlus at #10 please! Draft the known talent, maybe trade down for more picks, fill holes. Build out the core, and if there is some one available in free agency, grab them, but dont draft another Gabbert.

+100

Much as it would pain me to start Henne next year, it would be the right thing to do if a true franchise QB isn't available to draft, and no suitable QB comes in VIA free agency.

Why?! Gabbert was the 10th pick of the draft. Was lauded by most as a very smart pick. Just because general consensus is a QB will be good doesn't mean he will be good. How about Leftwich.

I trust the new GM will do a much better job, but let's be honest, the bar is pretty damned low after Harris.

Edit: Nix that. I thought you were saying 6th or 7th pick over all, not the Jags 6th or 7th. Brady was a 6th round pick, and his rookie year the Patriots were shredded in the Boston media for keeping him on as a fourth string Qb, when they had Bledoe, Zolak, and K state phenom Bishop on their Roster. By the start if his second season, he was #2, and 2 games later Bledsoe takes a bad hit, and the rest is football history!!! I actually like that approach. Sam Kovaris and Cole Pepper have talked about this a lot on their podcast.

HUH? I didnt say we should trade up for a QB, like we did for gabbert and leftwich, nor did I say we should draft one in the first round. sooooo what are you talking about? Im lost. We need a QB. If there is one there in the early or late rounds that they want, I say go for it.

Great win yesterday, Jags will pick where they pick. I trust the new guys will pick the right players to make this franchise successful.  Go Jags.

Unrelated to the Jags gameplay, and admittedly, sort of a gossipy question, but: has Khan bought a house in JAX yet? If so, where? If no, why not?

*Not a conspiracy theorist. Don't believe a "no" answer equals Khan is moving the team. More curious.

I dont think he has. My thinking was that he would remain close to his business, which is logical. When the day comes he retires or sales his business, I would see him relocating. But until then, his yacht is his Jacksonville home  ;D

Yeah, as DD mentioned above, Khan has been very upfront since day one that Flex N' Gate will remain his top priority, and that responsibility for running the Jags would be delegated to trusted hires such as Dave Caldwell and Mark Lamping. The guy's worth $4 billion dollars. If he wanted to buy a house here to keep up some sinister rouse, he could do it with the snap of a finger. For that reason, I wouldn't read anything into it either way.

I want him to buy a smaller, secondary yacht and name it the Sloop Khan B.
