FYI, I posted what I did last night, knowing Jameis and the girl slept together. My friend with a connection to the SAO told me so over the weekend. The real question is whether it was consensual or not. There are a lot of rumors out there that there are pictures of the 2 of them after the alleged incident, phone records, and other stuff. There is also a rumor that her own roommate is one of the 2 witness affidavits that back Winston.

Not that I doubt you, but why in the heck is a friend of yours in the SAO talking to you (or anyone else) about this?  And, unless anyone else was personally there to see them sleeping together, they really don't know.

I think it is time for the news media and all of us to stop making any assumptions or conclusions until the information is fully out there.

Its a friend of a friend, and they didn't divulge any specific details of the case...just inferred that something did in fact go down with the 2 of them. At the time my friend found this out, everyone in Tally thought the case was bogus and he was questioning his friend at SAO about why the case hadn't yet been thrown out. He's a smart lawyer and was able to read between the lines of what he was told.

Hmm, start warming that backup QB's arm up.  You don't want your dream season to go up in smoke against Duke!

Lake, can you tell us what that is like? So we can mentally prepare ourselves?  ;D

no worries...he played the second half last week and will probably get lots of playing time this week....plus, you might have noticed that we have some pretty good RBs too!

Canes are still a work in progress, so this was never a dream season.  If I look back on da U's storied past, I'd go back to the 86' loss where Testaverde tossed six picks to a Penn State team they were head and shoulders better than or the 03' game where the sixth title was stolen with a late flag (that came after the finale fireworks show) and the loss of McGahee's knee. Hmm, but those were playing for all the marbles and real nut crunchers.  Reserved for once you've reached the mountain top. At this point, FSU is still trying to reach the highest of seven hills in Tallahassee.

This is an ACC championship game, so this would be another version of Jimbo tripping over his own two feet again.
So perhaps, it's better to look at FSU's own history. It would be like having Chris Rix as your starting QB in nightmare that takes you four years to wake up from. That feeling you had then, is what it will be as Duke takes a page out of Jameis' book and you realize your shell shocked defense is no match for their overly aggressive offense. ;)

Winston's DNA found in girl's underwear....

QuoteTest links Winston's DNA to accuser

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- A DNA analysis completed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement on Tuesday confirmed that DNA provided by Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston matched the sample taken from the underwear of the woman who has accused him of sexual battery.

According to the DNA analysis report, a copy of which was viewed by ESPN.com on Wednesday, the Florida state crime lab determined the chance of the DNA in the woman's underwear being a match for someone other than Winston was one in 2.2 trillion.

Old news Lake, I already posted about it earlier this morning. Winston and his lawyer have been contending that it was consensual all along and there is supposedly a decent amount of evidence that backs those claims.

tufsu1

yes...as CityLife posted above, it seems very likely that they were together

Winston's attorney says the sex was consensual

https://www.tallahassee.com/article/20131121/NEWS/131121016/Update-Attorney-says-Jameis-Winston-complainant-had-consensual-sex

QuoteTim Jansen, a Tallahassee attorney representing FSU quarterback Jameis Winston in a sexual-assault complaint against him, said in a news conference this morning that sex between his client and the complainant was consensual.

When asked whether the sex was consensual, Jansen replied, "absolutely."

Jansen added that he anticipated his client's DNA would match the DNA found on the complainant.

"We are not surprised with the results of the DNA," he said. "We voluntarily submitted to a DNA, the only thing we are surprised by is it was leaked out by law enforcement," he said. "The question the people should ask is why is it being leaked? For what purpose?"

Jansen held the news conference in response to a report on ESPN.com that DNA taken from the complainant matched Winston's DNA. Winston submitted to a DNA swab a week ago on campus.

"I don't think it's a secret what the defense is when I tell you that we are not surprised his DNA was found. We anticipated it would be found. We never, ever said he wasn't there."

True. But you can't brag until you clear home plate.
