Come on Jameis. You don't have to assault anyone in Tally to get laid. At Free Shoes U, legs should willingly part like the Red Sea did for Moses.

QuoteTALLAHASSEE | Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston is under investigation for an alleged sexual assault reported nearly a nearly a year ago.

The university and Winston's attorney confirmed Wednesday that the Tallahassee Police Department is conducting an investigation.

SLANDER, plain and simple.

JW has never been interviewed by police, and the alleged assailant was WAY shorter than Jameis (5'-9" vs 6'-4").

Al Golden probably called this one in himself...

Doubt it. Probably that snake called Nick Saban (I still haven't forgiven him for screwing up the Dolphins).

the snake here may be State Attorney Willie Meggs....and some disgruntled Gator fans

True story...there used to be (and rumors are that they still exist) a group of Gators in Tally that would actively do things to try and sabotage FSU or get FSU players in trouble. How successful they were at stuff, who knows. But I do have a friend whose dad was a Bull Gator and prominent lawyer in Tally, that told me it was true. Given the amount of arrests in Gville lately, it wouldn't surprise me if some FSU fans were doing the same there too. College sports are filthy behind the scenes...

Its pretty obvious this was one of two things. 1. A leak from the someone with the TPD to news outlets by someone with an ax to grind with FSU. 2. Someone paying the alleged victim to bring it back up again.

I'm glad that most people recognize this as the obvious, lackluster smear campaign that it is.

Laughed at this comment on the Times-Union site:

QuoteA black guy is accused of sexual assault, must be Jameis Winston. Physical description of assailant only bears resemblance to Winston in that it states assailant had a dark complexion and was polite. Everything else describes someone completely different. His name isn't mentioned and he was never questioned by police. I feel this kid is probably not the guilty party, that could be my bias however. We do know for sure that it isn't a Gator qb. They never would do any such thing with a woman.

I can't talk trash tonight. Duke must have been hanging around with "Gottahavitall" Winston. ;)

Cane's defense was forcefully molested today.  Innocence was taken and it doesn't feel good. Where's the state attorney when you need one!

I'm a big pussy tonight because the team that I've been repping got their asses not only handed to them, but they were obviously paid money to go to a party to dance and then ended up filing charges of rape against at least 2 of the member of the opposing team.

Cane's defense was that they were Lacrossed tonight.  There were at least 3 Duke players that I can remember forcibly having their way with me, but their could have been more.  A quote from an anonymous victim, "It didn't seem that they could pass the ball, but everytime is was handed off to a running back....  Let's just say my ass is really sore."
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Man, I think it's becoming clear that this Jameis Winston thing will not be going away quickly. If what is being alleged is true (that the victim was threatened, and that the Tallahassee Police Department purposely kept Winston's name off of the police report, blocked efforts to have blood or DNA testing done, tipped off Winston's legal team in February (giving him a nine month head start to build a defense and gather witnesses), and sat on the case for 11 months without alerting the DA), we are looking at a truly ugly situation here. I fear that if Winston is innocent, the behavior of the TPD will paint him as guilty. And, on the off chance that Winston did commit the crime in question, I truly feel sorry for the victim, because there's no way she emerges from this thing with anything resembling a normal, happy life.

Read the family's statement. The Family was worried about backlash and their attorney talked with the detective about it. I think the detective would have been lying to tell their attorney there would be nothing to worry about no backlash at all.  At the very least it is not threatening the victim to talk about possible consequences to with her attorney(not to the victim ) who I would assume is able to handle tough conversations.

Warned as most of the news reports frame it seems much more accurate than threatened.

Winston hasn't even been brought in for questioning. At this point the family is angling for a civil suit.
