Below is the link to the article that got this story going.  This group also has a FB page upon which they share the fact that they do deal in rumors as well as real news.  So perhaps we should take all of this with a pinch of salt.  :P  Had to share the image for NRW.  lol  Sorry but I could not resist.  hehehehe

QuoteAccording to Terez Owens, Tim Tebow is in line to get a shot with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The NFL's worst team may just be throwing a Hail Mary. According to our Jaguars leaker, the team is going to give Tim Tebow a shot to re capture his dream of playing Quarterback once again. Our source tells us the Jaguars realize Tebow can only help merchandise and ticket sales, and will bring a major surge of interest to the Jaguars. This is not a football move as much as it's a financial move says our insider. The Jaguars have nothing to lose. Tebowmania in Jacksonville sounds like a great fit.-TO

cover32 spoke with Owens by phone on Thursday afternoon and he says he trusts his source and believes the information to be accurate. Owens says the move might not happen until early next week, which, would make Tim Tebow's first game with the Jaguars against the Broncos, in Denver.

More as we get it.

Ryan O'Hallaran of the Times Union and Brent Martineau of CBS 47 tweeted this afternoon there is no truth to it.  Just part of the cult spreading hopeful untruths.

I gotta rag on my team a lil' (yeah, I know it's a shocker). In that Indy game, the Colts kept putting eight and nine in the box to stymie the run. Why in the hell is Gabbert under center, and not in the shotgun (his most comfortable formation BTW) a situational must!!! Thanks Jedd Fisch. Indy basically sold out to stop MJD, and we didn't go in the shotgun the entire game!! Sometimes I think that we are the stupidest team in the NFL. I love 'em, but damn LOL *rant over*

Jaguars merchandise sales are up 600% from 2012 to 2013.  Yet these Tebow "stories" inevitably make some reference to our desperately needing help with merchandise sales.

Even if Jaguar gear sales weren't up, the merchandise sales argument for Tebow makes no sense.  Merch profits are split 32 ways among the NFL*.  So we benefitted from Jets Tebow jerseys as much as we would from Jag jerseys.

*Unless purchased AT the stadium, in which case, we only slightly benefit more by keeping the profits after 32 split.
So I said to him: Arthur, Artie come on, why does the salesman have to die? Change the title; The life of a salesman. That's what people want to see.

^ Absolutely right.  (I think we also get to keep 100% of the profits on sales through the official team shop on the website too.)

I agree - but the increase in merchandise sales correlates to the logo/uni changes.  I wonder what happens to all of the "stale" (old logo) stuff still in stores(?).

It's all academic, as the "story" is as usual borne of the false theory that the NFL consists of 31 teams and one financially desperate carnival operation.

Man, Bill Simmons just TORE into the 2013 Jaguars squad and front office in his latest column.

Easy to shoot the messenger, especially Simmons, but sadly, a lot of his facts don't lie.

^^^Eh. Wake me up when Grantland and Bill Simmons matter (I never heard of Grantland until now). Everyone hate us, that's okay. People get so caught up with this "historically bad" crap. People wanna say that we're the worst ever; Worst than that historical winless Detroit team or not, I don't expect us to go winless. The haters act like we are to only 0-4 team. People should rag on the Steelers moreso than us, as we weren't expected to do any damn thing. I'm quite sure that these other 'O'-fer teams aren't considering their close losses as moral victories.

And how is going to protect gabbert so he has time in the shot gun? Or better yet will he run out of protection for no apparent reason like he's did the last game. The problem is the offense is a turd and can not run basic plays. Jedd actually addressed that. Its kinda hard to "open up the playbook" when you offense can not run basic plays. At this point, the players get all of the blame in my book. Weve being blaming the coaches and coordinators for all of our problems for the past ten years. The offense is just terrible, thats the bottom line. Our roster is shit right now. And as much I want Gabbert to succeed, he is terrible right now.
