Police copter?

So, I assume that was a police helicopter over Murray Hill last night, but can't find any information on what was going on. Any information is appreciated.

It's actually been twice for me in the last week. There was one time about 6 months ago where there were hovering over our block for like 10 minutes. Not fun.
