I said something recently on the thread concerning the lack of blitzes. I think that since our front four is subpar when it comes to getting a consistent pass rush, so we should throw in an occasional haphazard blitzing from the secondary or a LB. I rather be aggressive on occasion and take a chance, then to just sit back with no pass rush nearly all of the time, giving the opposing QB time-galore in the pocket, and watching WR's like A. Johnson rip us to shreds anyway. So many times that I see in the NFL when a sudden third down corner blitz will if nothing else, make the unsuspecting QB roll out, and throw the ball away into the stands; We don't even attempt to try that at all.

I hope we win tomorrow  :'(

The pride in me wants us to win tomorrow.....the cynic in me wants me to lose the rest of the games so we get the #1 pick next draft.

Not sure that a #1 Pick will do much with the "Team Effort" to this point! Defense played outstanding against the Texans but was worn down by the overtime quarter. Offense must get first downs to allow the defense to catch their breath and adjust. Don't see that happening but one can hope!

Damn it we did it. Gave up seven sacks, an interception, and our defense fell asleep at the end of the game, but we did it. They played like a real team today. I have two words,, Blackmon and Shorts

Just read Cecil broke one of Macardell's record and tied one of Jimmy's. I will be internally greatful to GS for these receivers. He hit and miss on some things, but he Shorts and Blackmon right!

Henne as well!

To all the Gabbert apologists...look what our team can do with a competent QB. Henne isn't great...he's not top tier...but he's definitely COMPETENT. He knows how to run an offense. He knows how to read the defense. He knows basic skills that Gabbert just. doesn't. have. Sorry folks, it is what it is.

And...Henne did all that on a day with SEVEN sacks, an interception, and a lackluster D. If that was Gabbert....everyone would be saying "it's the O-lines fault"...now, we're celebrating a Win.

This is what I was looking at. If sunshine got sacked that many times we would have been screwed. Our o-line was shitty and the defense is a roller coaster, but Henne kept his composure. I am one of those gabbert supporters, feel kind bad for him.  I really want(ed) him to succeed.  But I also want to win. Even if we just get five solid years out of Henne, and draft somebody to groom while he's the starts, Im okay with that. Its just time for us to get this QB thing right, whoever it is. THANK GOD our wide  receiver curse has been broken.

People are saying Henne is a choke master, and his performance is going to tank, but I just dont think so. Most Dolphin fans Ive talked to (Lake you can chime in also since you are  a Dolphins) fan, there were several issues in Miami that had nothing to with the QB. They hated soprano as OC, and after seeeing the Jets this year you can see why. Henne also didnt have the options he has here. He has Shorts, Blackmon and Lewis as reliable, strong receivers. He has some toys to play with here

Nice win against the hated Titans. At least we can still wreck up other teams' seasons!
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

The wrecked our trip to the superbowl, so hell why not wreck up their season a little! I loved that our win was against them. Always love beating the Titans.

QuoteWR Justin Blackmon leads NFL rookies in total yardage. Cecil Shorts' 20.8 yards per catch is highest in NFL.

I'm not an apologist; I just don't want to write off someone with that much physical talent too early.  That said, I can't argue with any of the rest of this.  Very pleased with Henne the past two weeks.  If Gabbert isn't The Answer, competence from Henne until we find The Answer (I don't think The Answer is coming in next year's draft) will go a long way.

For what it's worth, Vic Ketchman often went out of his way to say how highly he thought of Henne.

People in Nashville are really, really nice.  It's one of the friendliest places I've ever visited.  But something must happen to them online and in stadia, because they're the first people (other than bitter Baltimoreans) to play the L.A. card.  It makes it all the more satisfying to deliver the death blow to their season.  I thought beating the Titans might be less fun with Fisher gone, but I was wrong!
