Is this really happening today?  Here in Jacksonville?

I went to the FTU homepage and there is absolutely no mention of the event.  A former US president with our mayor and council president just isn't big news, I suppose.

Thanks, CAT for the coverage.

The issue in America is not whether we are going to go right or left but whether we are going to go forward.

Meeting out. Clinton leaves the stage.

Quick Google search shows that FCN and News4Jax have articles.  Didn't check to see if any of it is front-page material, but there it is.

Kind of surprised we weren't blasted for days with the run-up to this.  Former President that still ranks somewhere in the top 10-15 all time in popularity and there's not a lot of hoopla (or at least, that I've seen anyway).

Interesting.  Surprising and not, all at the same time.

It was a great event, really wonderful.  It was nice to hear from Tom Van Berkel, Stephen Joost, and Alvin Brown about local efforts to improve the economy.  And then Bill Clinton himself who made many good points, among them how important it is to redevelop downtown.

It was not open to the public. I saw an article on the TU site yesterday about it.

Clinton is just so darn smart.  What I loved about his talk is the theme that permeates throughout:  that all things are possible if we work together.  I love this guy!!!

Anti redneck

Well I hope his speech gets through to people's heads. All this talk about this and that, I want to see some action.

An edited video of the "Economic Summit"....in quotes for very good reasons.

Leaving the economic summit I was left the impression that this was not an economic summit. It was a brilliant co-branding effort. "Clinton is awesome in this way...and you know what,  mayor brown has that same quality."

Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?
