Hey maybe Sleiman can bring in Fuddrucker's since that didn't work out for him at The Landing.  I mean, there's plenty of parking there.

Keep in mind, I have NO further information beyond a guy who knows a guy who says that they're going to use that corner.

I spoke with someone who spoke directly with the manager of Pizza Palace about that rumor and she said that she has heard no information about Pizza Palace being closed or the property sold.  Apparently the owner of the site is her sister or something.

QuoteId much rather another restaurant though.

Revert it back to the Hardee's that used to occupy the space.

How long ago was that? I remember it, just can't put my finger on when.

About 10 + years ago.  Hardees to replace a local pizzeria? Wow.

Or Taco Lu, plenty of outside seating and could probably get the building for cheap.

As long as they don't put in a Krispy Kreme.  I have serious problems resisting that neon sign.  I'm sure it helped my waistline when they closed the one on Casset.

The Hardees had the same problem there that the Wendy's on Park and Margaret has; entrance and egress are tough on that small of a lot and on a corner.  Drive through just doesn't work very well.

Turns out that Tony Slieman is the one working with 7 Eleven to find sites.  There have already been rumors of 7 Eleven going into a couple places that turn out to be bogus.  Maybe they don't like his suggestions.

With his fingers in the pie there's no telling what sort of stuff is going on.
That idiot like human would probably put two 7 11's across the street from eachother and he's the last one in this city that should be deciding anything for anyone...

Toney Sleiman doesnt own the center across the street anymore.  His brother Peter does and they dont particularly get along.

According to a post by someone on RAP's FB page, Pizza Palace has sold the property to 7-11. The person is saying that a building on the corner of College and Margaret was also sold to them. According to the post, Pizza Palace is moving out Friday (today) and the building will be demolished Saturday (tomorrow).

No clue whether any of this is accurate.

dang. so much for bringing back Hardees! my grandma used to take me there almost every Sunday morning before church to get me a biscuit.

Jimmy

I, too, have fond memories of that Hardees location and many bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits.  Oh, and those cinnamon raisin ones.

No fond memories of that Pizza Palace location.  I always thought they closed the wrong one in Riverside to begin with.
