With Mike Wallace currently being a bitch with the Steelers and refusing to sign their tendor, I wonder what we would have to offer to lure him away. He;s currently asking to the Steelers to rob the bank to pay him, so I assume any other team that trys to trade for him would get the same. But how long is he gonna be a bitch before he backs down and take an offer. I wonder if any teams made offers? Because I heard interest in him is little to zero because of his contract demands.

QuoteI've been told that the #Jaguars have released DE Austen Lane, and will announce the move tomorrow.

I'm not mad about that move at all. He hadn't done crap since being here either. Only our 1st and 3round pick from 2010 remain on the roster now. Tyson and D'Anthony Smith.

He's still on the roster and actually took part in a charity event with some teammates yesterday.

That and you'd have to give up your first round draft pick this year to the Steelers to get him.

And it's been 'reported' (whatever the hell that means anymore) that he's looking for Fitzgerald type money.

Good attempt by Khan. I do love how he is really trying to get the Jaguars name out there, but I can't see Hard Knocks coming for our bland team. They need exciting characters in the front office and with the players and we really don't have that right now. It would make for some incredibly boring TV. Unless every other team declines, they will not be here anytime soon.

Looks like we are trying to get back on " Hard Knocks". Havent been on since 2004 so it would be interesting to return. I actually JUST seen the one from 2004 the other night. (lol) I see organization is pulling out all stops to get us exposure as promised. It just kills me they are always talking about ratings. from what Ive seen, HBO has done Hard knocks with every team in the NFL. Im sure when we were on in 2004 it wasnt for ratings. But whatever the case Im glad that they are atleast trying.

Why wouldn't they come here?

Last time Hard Knocks was here, the Jags were coming off a 5-11 season where the average attendance at home was 53,000!

What 'bland' are you talking about?

MJD, one of the most popular RBs in the league with radio shows, tv spots and his own fantasy football series.

Gabbert aka Sunshine, with one of the best soundbites from '11, "Whoah there motherfucker", wishing he could say the same to all the reporters questioning his toughness.

Pot Roast fighting back after an injury stemming from a barfight.

Kampman trying to make it back to the field after 2 acl tears in two years at 33yrso

The most dynamic linebacking corp in the NFL - Session, Poz, Smith

Have someone ask Uche about Tebow - you'll get an earful.

There's 5 episodes above without even trying and I haven't even gotten to the coaching lineup.

Bland.   ::)

Only because you wnat to see another Tim Tebow Show.   :P

I can't say that I'd watch something like that even if the Jags were on it, but I will say: if you couldn't make interesting TV with this team, then you don't how.

Shad Khan has as much star power as anyone right now with regard to the franchise.

There are PLENTY of media types that are chomping at the bit to get to Khan (destined to potentially be Jacksonville's biggest celebrity one day) - and, thus far, he's been well received & spun in a positive light in everything that I've read.  Considering that he's putting himself out there.....

I can already see the opening credits:  The Kismet on the horizon slowly steaming toward JAX; mooring up downtown with Everbank as the backdrop....

Sounds like it probably will be the Falcons.

I do agree about the above comments on Khan. His life story is the true American dream. It's one that people want to hear and one that will be played alot this fall when football starts again.

Not only that, but were coming off FOUR losing seasons the last time we were on "Hard Knocks". Fans seem to think everything is a popularity contest when it comes to the national spotlight. The Jags would be very interesting in my opinon. Were coming off the craziest season that no NFL team has ever experiences. 2 QB changes, coach fired, team sold, rookie QB, terriable receivers and 30 people on injuried reserve. With a new owner, new coaching staff and new direction, I think it would be quite appealing to the open minded NFL fans. Personally, I love to watch shows and documentaries on other teams. I watched one on the Jets and the Steelers. I like to learn about other franchies. But you know most fans are like, " If you are a winning team, nobody cares about you" I would watch a program about the Browns if it was on.

P.S. Ignore Dan. He only pops in the forum when he has something negative to say.

I gotta agree... Our team would make for some boring TV outside of MJD. MJD is the only well known player on our team. The only reason people know Gabbert's name is because he's frequently referenced with Tebow as having the worst QBR rating in the league last year. People would want to watch it for the big name star players, and we're fooling ourselves if we think we have more than one STAR on the team at the moment. If you asked anyone outside of Jacksonville that's not a die hard Jags fan, I'm sure they wouldn't be able to tell you more than one player on the team.

But at the end of the day, the NFL isn't a popularity contest. As long as we win on the field, I could care less if we don't have nationally known players.

The Falcons would be boring too. They are a weird franchise. Whenever I watch them play, they are good, but it is soooooooo B O R I N G. No excitement what so ever. And thats odd for a team that has been in the playoffs for the past 3 years. Alot of people are already saying that the Falcons arent a very good choice either because of the that.

Their head coach comes from the Brian Billick-Marvin Lewis-Jack Del Rio coaching tree so it should not be a surprise. They all employ a boring brand of football.

And then they add Dirk Koetter! LMAO our playoff run in 2007 has been more exciting than all theirs put together. Then some claim Mularkey's play calling was "boring", but I think it was more to it than that. As you said, its the coaching staff.
