What was the purpose of this article, Vito?

http://jacksonville.com/opinion/blog/513351/vito-stellino/2012-03-18/longtime-jaguars-season-ticket-holder-explains-why-he

Oh wow people stand up front of him and he cant see the play? Ummmm thats anywhere in the stadium! And If hes retired, it seems its time for him to give it up and sit at home. This article was dumb and the guy the made the comments are even dumber.
I don't thin he had a problem with people standing, just that the video board sucked really bad and that's how he is going to see the play if someone is standing in front of him.

I laugh at this sort of comment and the comments to that article.  Frankly, the club seats are a more reserved crowd.  The damn seats are $200 apiece.  If someone wants to pay that, he should get a good view of the game.  If he's an older guy, I understand that.  If you are going to the game to raise hell and yell and scream, the club seats are probably not for you.

Regardless, I think dumbass comments like "sit and home" are ridiculous.  The Jags need to sell tickets and the club seats are a gigantic source of revenue.  If your a Jag fan, you don;t want anyone with an interest in attending the game to sit at home.

I was going to say depending on his age, it may be better from him to sit at home and watch the game anyways. I noticed we have some very elderly fans. Every game I see a bunch of older people! Im glad to see the infusion of youth over the past few years because we sure do need it.

Just heard on the radio that Peyton Manning is headed to Denver and that Denver will be trying to trade Tim Tebow, lol.  It's about time for me to start listening to Jags radio now.

Lake, I have a Jaguars season ticket for you... and two half price season tickets for your boys just waiting to put your name on them.   :)  Not only will that give you access to the two movie nights they are planning at the stadium over the summer... the mascot will even send your boys a personalized birthday card!

Can someone tell me where I can get $25 or $30 club seat tickets?

From a street vendor.  The price comes down big time the closer to kick off.  Add to the fact that the Jags are usually well on their way to a top 10 draft pick towards the end of the year, the last game or two gets even cheaper.   Exceptions to this rule are night games because people see those as "events" more than just a game.

There is some more activity. We are "interested" in the defensive end from the patriots. He has visited Miami and Tennessee. And has one more stop assumed to be Jacksonville.

He'd be a good fit for us, if not as an every downs end, then as someone who comes in on passing downs with Lane in on running situations.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!

The idoits at first coast news has already called the Jaguars asking about Tebow. There are a bunch of tebow zombies in this city. HE IS NOT A GOOD QB! Why you anyone be amped about trading for a crappy QB.? We have enough of a project in Gabbert, we dont need another one.

If I was a receiver and I was suddenly having to catch balls from GAbbert and Tebow, I'd quit.

Have to think we will be in the mix for Tebow. Will be very interesting to see how Khan plays it. Tebow is realistically worth a 2nd or 3rd Round pick factoring quality, but Khan may feel he is worth more than that for the increase in revenue. However, if he gives up too much for Tebow (to please Gator fans), he may alienate the non-Gator part of the fan base.

If we were, we would have played the waiting game before picking up Henne in free agency. Tebow is worse than Gabbert. It would be backwards to trade for a worse QB just to sell tickets. Because once they realize we are still losing, the true Jags fans base will hit the door while the gator fans are still in the stand rooting on tebow with a crowd of 10,000. I want to win PERIOD.

No way... if they want him wait until he is cut... then negotiate.  NO PICKS!
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Agree wholeheartedly.

On top of that it would just create a circus.  What about Gabbert?  Just picked up Henne... complete circus that would serve no purpose...

BTW, I wasn't in any way advocating for trading picks for Tebow. I don't want him at all.

I just think we will learn a lot about Khan from how he handles the whole thing. Will he be focused more on winning or on selling jerseys and making money? If he gives up early picks, we know the answer. If he plays hardball or doesn't cave in, then he's in it to win.
