I was just there 2 days ago for lunch. They seemed pretty busy.

Another one bits the dust...The Black Bean in San Marco closes.

Pardon my French, but FUCK! We loved that place. Cheap too.

I wonder if the overhead of the rental spaces are killing these places? I mean, it seems to me something like the Black Bean didn't need nearly all of that seating space on the inside (it was never even close to being full). Most people (including us) seemed to just grab n go.

I wish they could continue in smaller/cheaper space & just have a walk up window.

Anyone know why the Moe's that was originally in the Black Bean spot closed?

You answered your own question.  Decent food but it had a pretty lame/boring/meh vibe.  Similar to the Loop.

My kids like Moe's so I will take them there sometimes on Tuesdays for kid's night. The one in San Marco had the awful odor of moldy rubber mats. We went there twice a few years ago and never went back. And the service was pretty bad too.

It appeared to be as of two days ago.

Tried ordering take out from the Black Bean on Southside Blvd, didn't get an answer, figured they were busy.  Drove over and they are CLOSED.  I miss Sierra Grill there as well as the one that was on Belfort across from the hospital before that.

No surprise on the Black Bean there. Too many burrito joints in this town already. Same with frozen yogurt. I won't be shocked to see alot of yogurt shops on this thread over the next year or so.

Logans Roadhouse is opening at the River City Market Place!

LOL!  Now, what about the abundance of sushi places that we have in town?  They all can't be great!

In Tinsletown, we have four sushi places and a hibachi buffett.

Crazy Sushi is hands down the best though.

I have seen Logan's in Orlando but never eaten at one. Is it similar to a Longhorn?
