samiam....sorry, but neither of those two names ring any bells with me! Lost a good friend on the Blackthorn, he and I were on the A/N team out of Mobile.......that was back when Base Mobile was at Choctaw Point before it moved to the sea terminal at Brookly Field. Choctaw Point became Corp of Engineers base, I don't even know if it still operational, this place was just north of the Fire and Test Facility, west side of the Bay! That may not even be there anymore either...........two or three hurricanes ago, no telling

It's pretty in a frightening/startling kind of way. Fire in of itself is really fascinating, and very interesting to watch as it grows and consumes. Still, it's horrific when it destroys

And yet another one on east 7th this morning.

Wow, I must've slept right through it.. That house burned some a few months ago. It was just the back half though.. That makes like 4 fires just on that corner in the last 2 years...

it do indeed, soxfan.  i can't be the only one who thinks it smells like a three-day trout.

Those houses are owned by the same man....and from what I've been told...his wife is the one who collects the rent and has a male friend...and somehow it seems when there's a riff between the two of them, a house burns. Most times these fires have been started in the front porch area. Don't know how true it is, but...

Soxfan....I was wondering where you were...although I saw it at 4ish this morning when I was letting the dog out. To be honest, I didn't hear the sirens, just noticed the red flashing lights and walked down. All occupants, including the animals all got out okay.

Glad no one got hurt.. I had a late night at BG after kickball last night, probably why I didn't wake up.. If the connection to the fighting is true, I'm sure the investigators will figure that out. If it's true, why wouldn't the residents tell the cops??

I believe it's 451 E. 7th. It's owned by Thomas Russell, and the one that was on the corner (burned and taken down) was also owned by him.

it can only be attributable to human error.  this sort ov thing has popped up before, and it has always been due to human error.
