vacant, which i'm sure you'll try to convince us has anything to do with anything.

by the way, do you know how to argue without personal attacks?

It was vacant before and it is vacant now. The only difference is the house is now in better condition. I do not see a problem. I am not trying to convince anyone of anything. I have no problem with such investor.

So this place was vacant to begin with, then it was restored and is still vacant...and it's only been a year. Not only did the housing market take a serious hit, but the economy in general has been in a slump. There are several restored and several brand new homes that have been sitting empty for quite some time, all basically victims of a hurting economy, and I agree, some are due to high pricing. However, with the particular house mentioned, where exactly is the problem? Is the problem that it was restored or is the problem that one isn't happy with the asking price? Either way, it appears to be a personal issue with anyone who wants to profit from the money invested.

it's just kind of funny that the poster wants the drug dealers and prostitutes back because someone told on him about his lawn. i'm sure he wants all the shootings and killings to come back as well. all i have to say is wow and also to just get rid of the grass and put down mulch, than you don't have to worry about anything.

KuroiKetsunoHana

wait, what?  i don't even have a lawn to get told on about.  where'd you get that?  oh, i see, my description ov what i miss about springfield.  no, lawn-police-as-an-example-ov-nosiness was fresh in my mind because i saw signs all up and down walnut last week, not a personal issue for me.
though in all fairness, if i did have a lawn, it would probably look pretty awful.

and no, i'm not a big fan ov killings.  gods almighty, can you people stop putting words in my mouth?

SRG makes me ill and i'm glad they've gone tits up.  i'm not goïng to claim that they did or didn't do anything illegal or immoral; i really don't care--i just hate their houses, and i hate the people they attracted to the neighbourhood.

...the tour will feature several ov springfield's wealthiër citizens using their homes the way insecure middle-aged men stereotypically use their convertibles...

...seriously, springfield mommies' group?  what?  mothers have been pooling resources since time immemorial, but a name like that conjures images ov disney happy family stickers and triple decker SUV-inspired strollers the price ov a small car...

i 'honestely miss' real people, however disreputable, when compared to the fake plastic smiling things i see in the neighbourhood today...

...and my issue with the mommies group ...is that children have become status symbols, a flaunting ov affluence and disposable income.

Your words.  Every group you mention in these quoted posts includes Springfield neighbors, real people who love living here for a variety of reasons that often never had anything to do with making money or status or making your life miserable.

yup.  i refer to people in general.  i don't call out anyöne in particular.  but somehow lots ov people are personally stung by my general comments and feel the need to retaliate on a personal level.

Gee, do you think it's because of the outlandish, abrasive and insulting things that you have said about the good and kind neighbors of Springfield? Your comments weren't about people in general as you now wish to profess, you made it personal by slinging around ignorant and rude remarks about our neighbors and friends. You didn't need to name names to have made it personal.

When a forum troll makes such statements, it's clearly intended to be negative, it's clearly intended to be insulting...and as a forum troll...you made your attempt, but it's the good people of this neighborhood that stand together, as you've seen by the responses of your off-color remarks.

If you actually do live in this neighborhood, and if you actually do hate the changes, then move. There's still areas that offer the crime filled, drug ridden kind of ghetto that you miss.

FYI: the word of isn't spelled with a v. Also for your information, there's free programs to spell check, but of course, that might take away from your attempt at...hmmm...

FYI:  it doesn't make any sense at all for only one word in the entire english language to be spelled with an f but pronounced with a v.  to my knowledge, there is no other word in any latin-alphabet language (romance, germanic, or otherwise) where an f is pronounced as a v.  so i don't do it.

and you may have some valid points about my comments/attitude.  just maybe.  but however abrasively i've stated them, i stand by my opinions and yes, even my prejudices.  if i meet enough ov you folks that i can get along with (i have met some wonderful people--who, thanks to the miracle ov internet anonymity, may be some ov the people i've been arguïng with here), my opinion may change.  until then, i've seen precious little goodness and kindness out ov most ov you.

Ignorance is bliss, in your case...may you be happy within it. Personally, I hope that we never meet, as you're clearly not someone I would care to know and/or have as a neighbor. I never cared for forum trolls.

It is interesting to care that much about diæresis but not use capitalization. I guess each his own.

I do not think this applies to common used suffix, such as "-er" or "-ing" because everyone has been studying them in middle school or earlier years.
Intentionally use expired spelling practice or make up new rules does not make one superior or even different. It only shows disrespect for the language and its history, origin and evolution. We can chose to speak languages and dialects of our choice; but we are expected to respect the language of the common in public. There is no point of communication without such respect.

KuroiKetsunoHana

i respect the things in english that make sense.  i don't respect the things that don't.  noöne seems to have any difficulty understanding me.
