I know it is "just another strip mall" but it is amazing to see how much is in that area considering ten years ago there was nothing on the northside. I doubt I will ever go there but is it great for the residents in that area.

It's not so amazing when you consider the City floated a $300 million bond for the construction and infrastructure projects around that mall.   :)

Meanwhile, Gateway continues to crumble. All of that wasted money would have been better spent at an existing shopping center, rather than bulldozing trees and endangering wetlands.

Yes, Gateway is smack in the middle of the 'hood (so is Town N Country, now), and if you're looking for smack you can find it near Gateway. But investing there seems to make more sense than perpetuating urban sprawl with this new strip mall.

I can't wait to see what's gonna be built there; I know that's sacrilegious on this site, but whatever. They are doing good things at the RCMP; New restaurants are constantly opening in that area, the latest is a Pollo Tropical. I'm pretty sure that the people of places like Dunn Ave, Oceanway, and Yulee appreciate the burgeoning River City Marketplace. Not everyone lives in the core ya know.

There are those of us who live in the core who like going to RCMP. I can hit PetSmart, Lowes, Bed Bath Beyound all in one trip! Not too mention Cracker Barrell!

yes, I do go there sometimes too. The PetSmart at RCMP has a better pet hospital.

True.  I guess you'd just have to hit Regency on Sunday Mornings when the Mathews is open.

WRONG ANSWER! The Mathews Bridge is open on Sundays so Arlington residents can make it to the Homerdome on time for church. ;)

Ulta Beauty is coming to the Parkway Shops, joining Dicks Sporting Goods, and Marshall's.

I am glad to hear that BJ's is coming. I just moved from Riverside to the Northside off of Dunn. I frequent RCMP.

fsujax

so is Carabbas and Outback Steakhouse. I really wish they would have built another Costco, instead of BJ's. The one at the SJTC is to difficult to get in and out of unless you go on a Monday night.

On multiple occasions I've had employees there tell me to expect the next Costco to be somewhere in the Collins Rd./Argyle/Oakleaf area.
