Major retailers not in Jacksonville, yet...

I believe our beautiful city is catching up with and even surpassing other cities throughout the country.  That being said, what are some major retailers, restaurants, etc that you would like to call Jacksonville home?  Thanks!

Macy's, Saks, Crate&Barrel, Tiffany and Co., IKEA, Blue Martini, Nordstrom, and Neiman Marcus to name a few.

Chain restaurants are the work of the devil.  Why would I want to be saddled with the same shitty food in every US city?  Homogenized, over salted, greasy reheated meaty treats.  Yum.

Think globally, eat locally...

Crate and Barrel would be nice. I'd like to see a Virgin Megastore type of place, too (or did those all close down?)...

I must confess I don't understand the big deal about Macy's. My fiancee and I visited Macy's in Chicago and New York and neither one of us was impressed (she being the big shopper). Kind of like a slightly more upscale Dillard's or Belk or something.

As to chain restaurants, though they may be the work of the devil, I would like to see something like Rainforest Cafe or T Rex Cafe. Perhaps an eatery involving robots.

Sak's, Crate & Barrel, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, IKEA, Restoration Hardware, Tiffany, Hugo Boss and as far as chain restaurants, they have their place as well. Local eateries probably couldn't afford the type of rent high end chain restaurants can.

Bass Pro Shop

Adding Bass Pro to Bricktown in OKC was a cornerstone of that area's revitalization.  I'd love to see an urban Bass Pro become a regional attraction in Jacksonville.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!

The citizens of Jacksonville have an IKEA. It's in Orlando.

Orlando and it's traffic can go f themselves, IMO. We don't want to travel 2 hours, we want it up here, keeping the sales tax dollars here and not in Orange County.

We should be able to get a Saks off 5th at least, I would think.  IKEA our demo isn't big enough..

There's one at the St. Augustine Outlet Mall.

I personally wouldn't mind seeing an H&M or Zara.  Even a Nordstrom Rack would be nice.

Oh, and I'm still holding out for a California Pizza Kitchen...  Yes, I know... chain resturants, satan's spawn, yada yada yada... but c'mon, it's good stuff.....

Fry's Electronics.  2nd California Pizza Kitchen, quite tasty.
