Real British Fish n Chips...Real whiting (or whitefish cod,haddock.etc) And potato wedges Both fried in the same oil,Sprinkled with Malt vinegar,wrapped in newspaper, and likely served to you by an OLD family business.
Can't be beat by some Americanized Processed SYSCO or corporate chain.  Sigh..why can't some old Limey couple open a take away (out) in some empty strip mall space.

King's Head Pub, St. Augustine, on Philips Hwy, on the left - from the Aves it'll take you 30 minutes.  They have malt vinegar, et al, although I've never tried their fish and chips - had other delicious items, though.   The absolute best battered fish I've ever had is every Friday night at Cracker Barrel...you can get cod or haddock, but we like the haddock - (nice, thick pieces) with steak fries and slaw will get to your table the quickest- and they have malt vinegar, if you ask.  The Cap'n D's the closest to Christ the King Catholic Church is best on Friday nights during Lent (seriously, Lent!) when they have tons of customers.  The food is actually fresh and hot then.  (but Lent is only 40 days and there are only 8 Friday nights when this happens....)

Maybe Long John Silvers will be built at the NE quadrant of I95, and IGP.  I do not want another Wendy's!

mmmmm Long John Silvers is the BEST, there used to be one off of 95 in Georgia and YES we would drive up there to get some (best hushpuppies too!), sadly it is now closed.

Yeah, I haven't had either of them in over 5 years.

I'd rather go to St Johns, JL Trent's, or any other local establishment before dropping a dime on a national chain with over fried crap. I like better service, quality, and portion sizes, and I do not find it in a styrofoam box.

I went to St. Johns once and it was OK, and I mean OK. Maybe because I paid three times as much for a piece of fish.

Main Street location was Springfield/ North Springfield,
also there was one on University Blvd. (West).

I can barely remember as I was very young (maybe like 6 or 7) But there was one one Norwood across from Gateway and there was one in arlington at arlington rd/Rogero. I believe the buildings in both locations are still there and being used other companies. The close down some long years back.
