I talked with the owner today and that is her plan.

Demolish and build something new or demolish for a vacant lot?

The owner was not all that sure of what she is going to do. She has a good set of plans for a new historic looking 3 story building. I would not expect any type of construction until the market turns around.

I'm gonna be sick.  That store was operating only a few years ago...I'm sure the building itself is just fine.

That's really sad. I've never been there but it looks too cool to trash.

It's way too cool to trash. I'm not sure if it's non-conforming or not. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can weigh in if they need historic com approval to demolish.

I love historic buildings and architecture.......but that doesn't look like either.

Nothing too unique about it, from the outside at least.
