It could have been 50 years ago but someone with less over the same amount of time has little room to call themselves daddy. This is a series that goes on runs. Currently UM leads the series 31-30. FSU's run will eventually come to an end and UM will go on another one. It's been that way for about 20 years now. Enjoy it will it last. I did during the Chris Rix years.

Over the last 20 years?  Guess you're referring to the 5 straight wins FSU had from 1995-1999 (including 47-0 in 1997).  Followed by 6 straight for Miami from 2000 to 2004 (includes bowl win).  They then traded off with FSU winning 3 out of the five games from 2005-2009....and now 7 straight for the Noles.

So FSU has won 15 and Miami 8 - yep, seems pretty balanced to me ;)

31-30 tufsu1. Make it 8 in a row and you'll finally be back at .500 for the series.....although with a fewer rings!

Btw, go back before 1995.....say 1975 - 1994 and you'll notice that Miami went 14-6. As I said earlier, it's a series of runs:

Sure, let me just fire up the old VCR and Betamax, and I'll get right on it.

Sorry Lake. After hosting UNC,  it looks like The U might be a couple more seasons away from that elusive ACC Championship.

And by the way, whats the inside scoop on the dismissal of Sam Bruce, the top rated recruit from 2016?

thelakelander

We could use an offensive line and some receivers. No worries though.  There's a lot to clean up after the Golden era. Bruce is one of several key recruits and starters that have been dismissed feom the team. Bruce had been involved in some trouble. Despite being talented and definitely someone they could use, it seems that Richt wants to keep things on the straight and narrow. That's pretty much the reason he's starting all freshman at linebacker.

I like Richt, but he isn't the coach who is going to fix the problems in Miami.  He fielded an average to sometimes above average team at UGA and had much more to work with.

thelakelander

I think he'll be fine in the ACC Coastal and recruiting from South Florida high schools. I think he'd have to seriously struggle to produce what Golden did.

you said 20 or so years.  That's why I went back to 1995
