So horribly frustrating! What FSU fan sold their soul to the devil?

Must be getting to ya, Lake! This is the first time I've seen you concede any kind of frustration with your teams. Usually you just ignore and start trash talking the next game or you trash talk your team and claim low expectations.  :o

FSU has been like a freaking vampire the last few years. Can't put them away. With that said, I feel a lot better about UM's future with Richt than that loser from Temple. We can still win the Coastal. Who leads the series now? I figure it must be pretty close.

Lol, we're a pretty young team with a new coach who's winning with Golden's players. I knew that coming in. I didn't even text trash talk to tufsu1 when we got up 13-0. I was impressed with the freshman d-line and linebackers last night. Get ready for a few years of Seminole pain. All we need is another class to provide some depth.

I was surprised and a bit worried.  Thought maybe Lake's phone was broken.  I actually texted him first in the 4th quarter when the Miami fans began acting like....well Miami fans.

True, I mean Richt has racked up those quality wins over powerhouses FAMU, FAU, APP ST, and Ga Tech.  I see why you are so optimistic.

^The whole defensive scheme has changed and its really easy to notice if you're familiar with the team over the last couple of years. Manny Diaz is a vast improvement at DC. I believe they would have struggled against APP ST and flat out lost to GT on the road if Golden were still in charge. The play of the young guys has me pretty optimistic. I like what I'm seeing out of freshman and sophomores like Walton, Richards, Pickney and Quarterman. The OL is currently the weakest unit but I anticipate improvement with incoming classes.  Overall, they lost by one point and left 10 to 14 second half points on the field. No need for me to be down.

They aren't winning a national championship this year, but if they play well over the next two weeks, they'll end up in the ACC championship game for a chance of pulling an upset against Clemson. I'll take a double digit win season over Golden's years of .500 ball.

Well, as a "Gator," you should be embarassed. You struggle against shit teams and lose to good ones.

As a Gator, I hate Richt, but have a lot of respect for him.  FSU fans might want to temper their shit-talking for the moment.  I'd take Richt any day over a grown man who calls himself "Jimbo" and only wins when he has a transcendental rapist quarterback talent*

* Excluding that time they walked through the easiest conference in the country and then got exposed for the frauds they were by Oregon, that is.

How much respect can you have for a guy that lost to Treon Harris...twice!

Also, shouldn't you hate college football?  Your rants against the NFL and taxpayer money ring pretty hollow if you support the publicly funded university building stadiums and paying football coaches to exploit a free labor source.

As a non-fan of any of these schools, I can only observe from the exterior.

Miami's weakness in coaching and recruiting over the past 15 years has led to UF's and FSU's abilities to increase.  So my thought is with Richt at UM now, I see a gradual shift in recruitment and talent flowing south.

IMHO, I think this will hurt FSU more than UF.

Its a long drawn out argument but student-athletes dont play for "free". Its called a scholarship, they are compensated for their tuition as a part of an agreement to participate in sports.  While I agree it it has become more than that with the ridiculous coaches salaries etc.

But the one thing I think student-athletes should get as part of their scholarship is 3 things, health insurance, LTD policy and a tuition completion policy. This maintains their health, their ability to finish school with a degree, and the ability to be compensated if they are permanently injured through competition.

Being from the north, I am still entertained by the intense college rivalries in the south.

I cant believe how many beer bellied Gator fans wearing 80's era tshirts I saw at UNF Arena at the NIT game. Didnt matter who won, I got more entertainment from watching them.

So you would take a coach in Richt that never won anything versus a coach that has won a national title... That is a double face palm.
And so it goes

Lake the last Hurricane team to win a NC was so long ago no one on the current team even remembers. Most of them were 5 years old. In sports your as good as yesterdays cat litter.  Need proof, just ask the Dolphins.

Need even more proof, check out Notre Dame.
