Good lord, the comments on that article. Does News4Jax even bother to moderate?

^ having been to that theater twice, the general demographics don't seem much different there than at any of the others in town.

Unbelievable how these parents are blaming the police officers. no wonder these thugs acting the way they are.

Well it can't be the fault of the parents.  Their children were angels until the cops showed up and started harassing them.  [/sarcasm]

RCM to follow Regency if this kind of crap continues.  And per the owner of Boston's not the first time this has happend. Obviously not to this extent.  Pretty sure if I was having dinner and my restaurant had to go into lockdown it would be a long time before I returned.

That's where the problem starts, no accountability - it's sad really.

It's like if a kid got arrested, the parent would automatically blame the police for unnecessarily force. it's getting stupid.

What gets me is that anytime I had been to that theater on Friday/Saturday night or holiday there was always atleast 2-3 JSO cars out there. Its not like these kids didn't know there were cops there.

I know that some sugarcoaters probably are gonna say "It's no big deal". Yeah sure, it wasn't a 'big deal' with Regency and Gateway either....This can happen out in the burbs so easily?  Imagine what will happen with something decent downtown? Once that bad perception starts to sink in and persist, other problems (vacancies) will soon follow.

In Miami, they had a shootout in Dadeland Mall in the early 1980s.  It's as ritzy today as it's ever been.  I think RCM will be just fine until a newer competitor opens up.
