QuoteMayor Alvin Brown will host a town hall style meeting in our Springfield historic district at the SIAA building (210 W. 7th Street) on July 11th from 6pm to 7pm.

The focus will be on the Hogans Creek park system and COJ & community partnerships to improve the parks and creek.

We are partners in a National Parks Service grant application that would facilitate improvements and programming in the parks, and we urge all Springfield resident to attend this meeting.

The Mayor will take questions as well.

Thanks for posting the new location.

It's always a pleasure to host the Mayor.

My understanding is he'll have other COJ staff with him to answer questions about other things, besides Hogans Creek as well.

Bill, do you know what COJ staff he will have with him?  Departments?

I'm sorry that I'll miss the opportunity to ask a question or two but Mayor Brown will the recent River Ruckus celebration that starred Dave Roman and DIA Board member Tony Allegretti along with other celebrities now have the RAM dock opened during the week for everyone else to join in the celebration of our St. johns River our American Heritage River in our new DIA zone?

Mayor Brown, would you support an amendment to an active piece of legislation 2013-384 that would allow parking and access to Hogans Creek? the applicant would support a friendly amendment.

Mayor Brown can you explain 2013-377 an active piece of legislation introduced by you? Remove Property Code Violations City-Wide if I read it correctly.

Mayor Brown 2013-373 is Downtown exempt? is this similar to a previous piece of legislation (transient vendor ban)? What does it mean to create an obligation?

Mayor Brown, With Don Redman being assigned to Chair Waterways will we now get a Mayor Brown kayak logo at Palmer Terrace Park? Are you supporting the million dollar FIND dredge for Pottberg Creek?

It is very positive that  Mayor Brown is having this meeting and I look forward in joining him in making Downtown a Destination and not a pass through.

Did we ask Karpelis to post a sign on the door about the location change to the SIAA building at 7th and Silver?

I've been told Zoning, Planning, Parks, Neighborhoods and other reps will be there.

All topics are open for discussion, not just the parks system.
