In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Or Taco Lu, plenty of outside seating and could probably get the building for cheap.

I'd prefer a location on Edgewood for Taco Lu- closer to me ;)

Does anyone know if it will be a full-service gas station with a canopy and pumps? or just a free standing store?

Shame they're gonna tear down that old house on the corner of College and Margaret.  Always thought it would have made a great location for a restaurant looking out onto Riverside park (if it had windows).

According to the FB post I referenced, it will have a canopy and pumps. The post also says nothing has yet been submitted to the the design and review committee. Not sure if this is the city or RAP they are referring to. All of this is rumor at this point, so who knows.

I'm just assuming that's the building Lucasjj was referring to in an earlier post:
"...a building on the corner of College and Margaret was also sold to them. According to the post, Pizza Palace is moving out Friday (today) and the building will be demolished Saturday (tomorrow)."

It's right next to the Pizza Palace lot and has been for sale for a while so makes sense.  Unless they're going to demolish the Pizza Palace building and keep the house to rehab as a 7-11 which could be cool.

I thought he was referring to the Pizza Palace building.

fsujax

well, they rehabbed a house into a bank, so there is some precedent.

Is this the house in question? I've always loved that building. It would have made a fantastic property. I never did see how much they wanted for it, but I'm assuming it was zoned commercial.

None of this is confirmed.

I am not sure what other building is being referred to.

I am just repeating rumors from Facebook, which is what the internet is for.  :)

This site has a surprisingly good record for being accurate on rumors.

I agree, that is why I passed this on. Even if it isn't all true, there may be parts. RAP did not respond to the FB post to deny or confrim anything, for whatever that is worth.
