Woohoo! I'm so proud of our local neighborhoods. We're growing organically, centered on a few successful intersections like Park & King, Margaret & Oak, and College & Stockton. Every few months another excellent site joins the others at the intersection. That's how communities grow.

OK , so what is going on with Derby on Park?  We have not seen any progress in the last couple of months of walking by the location.  I hope there are just some delays over the holidays, but I'm not feeling too optimistic based on what is visible.  I will be quite upset if they closed Derby House and nothing will come of it.  Please show us things are moving forward.

With the new theatre (which is very nice, by the way) and the new tapas restaurant coming across the street, Derby on Park will be a very nice complement assuming it is coming along.  One can hope!

They were just issued their construction permit.  It's not a pre-fab Checkers building that can go up in two days.  Secret Garden has some good food(good shrimp and grits and a good fried green tomato sandwich), and will be a good addition to the neighborhood.
