Anybody else love the "Freddy" chant last night as much as I did?  When is he going up on the wall next to Boselli?

You know we actually have four retired players now. I was wondering why there names werent up yet.

.

Jimmy needs to go up first, then Fred.

Did jimmy "offically" retire as a Jaguar? I thought he just retired from the game. I know he was having alot of issues back then, so Im sure he retired as a Jaguar. Brunell will be retiring next year and heading back to Ponte Vedra. So he should be up next as well

I have a new respect for Fred Taylor...

Of course we all love him for being one of the best to wear the Teal, but last night I was leaving the stadium at about 1am..  obviously Fred was visiting with the team, etc after the game because he was coming out at the same time.   Fans were still outside the gate and he stopped, signed autographs, took pics, laughed, shook hands and everything for a good 10-15 minutes.  (with no jacket on)  LOL!!!

Good dude!!!

I was just on the Ravens website snooping, and I see they did an article on the 18th calling us their "expansion debry rivals". The article when on to state that they dont understand how Jacksonville and Carolina even got teams. And that Jacksonville is in the bottom of attendance every single year. ( only happened in 2009, so they need to get their facts staright) I cant believe people are still upset about us having a team 16 years later. yes their team got moved and got turned for an expansion team, but they have a team now, so why cry over something that happened in 1993??

Ladies and Gentlemen, people hate us because of jealousy. They never wanted us to have a team and never will. No matter WHAT we do.  They hated us even more because of all records we broke and we were making exapsion franchise history.

So our victory last night made me feel even better after reading that.

Not sure if he retired a Jaguar or not. I know he had some off the field issues but he was one of the top receivers of his era. From 96-05, he was pretty much guaranteed to hit 1000 yards every year. He needs to be up there.

Again, duvaldude, I am worried for ya. Really love your enthusiasm but you're losing sleep over this. And this anger can't be healthy. Really, the world doesn't hate us. Some people will say some things, but just don't worry about them. Keep enjoying the ride, keep having fun, but don't let other people get to you so much. (Especially fans or "fanatics" that are irrational or media who are paid to have extreme opinions)

No actually it looks like they are losing sleep over it 18 years later. I was just making a point to the Jaguars that do lose sleep over the critics.

Exhausted.

Going to be useless until I get a few cups of coffee into me.

Incredible defense, incredible kicking, and a genuinely ugly performance by the offense.

To give credit where it's due, I do think that JDR and company coached a hell of a game last night.
Hell. yeah..... Congrats to our Jags.... we love you all!!!

To make it so bad B-more has won a SB since then; You'd think that they would be over that by now; Raven fans constantly talk about that in PFT; They are 'losing sleep' about that, not Jag fans like me, and Duvaldude.

Way to go Jags! I don't care if we won 2 to 0, a win is a win! Alotta fights broke out last night; Three around the 216 section alone, not to mention the rest of EverBank Field.

Really? I bailed out at 11:30. My mom was already mad that I made her wait for me 30 minutes. LOL Was it after the game?

During the 4th quarter if I'm not mistaken. JSO was constantly going up & down the stairs, and there was alotta rubbernecking from the fans trying to check out what was going on. I saw a coupla people JSO escorted from the stands.

I could've sworn duvaldude said he couldn't sleep, or something to that effect. And he's always ranting and complaining about how much he hates when other fans say this or the media says that. Anyway, I'm not trying to cause trouble; I genuinely am concerned for him cause he has so much passion and I love it. Just hope that for guys like him who take it so personally (to some degree that includes myself as well) we've got to be able to pick our battles and know when it really doesn't matter what some people think.

Lowest rated game in the history of Monday Night Football.

Shockingly low.

So low that ESPN has asked Nielson to double check the numbers.

Hopefully it doesn't keep us away from Monday night in the future.

With 7.469 million viewers and a 3.3 adults 18-49 ratings  Monday Night Football with the Ravens & Jaguars was way down for the second week in a row (two weeks ago it had a 6.9 adults 18-49 rating, even in football, matchups matter).

From what I read, this was not a shock. The MNF rating have been going down every week since the season started. Whether its the lowest ever, is yet to be seen.  However, this game was such a huge upset, I can see people not wanting to watch it. But hey I dont care. We won and Ravens feel like crap today. Mission accomplished

I don't think it being an upset had anything to do with the low numbers; Remember, it's not like the Jags had a 21 to nothing lead at the end of the first quarter like the Sunday game between IND vs NO(BTW I'm curious about those ratings; I'll be shocked if they aren't below average). Although most of the nation founded the game to be boring to watch due to bad offensive play, it was competitive all the way throughout the fourth quarter, with the Ravens still having a chance to win at the end. Besides America loves rooting for the underdog more than you think.

IMO the reason why that game had such low numbers was...

1. The matchup, not an attractive matchup between the 4-1 Ravens and the 1-5 Jags; People probably guessed that it was gonna be a Ravens rout without even tuning in.

2. The game went head to head against Game 5 of the World Series (STL vs TEX)

3. No storylines; What's the storyline between these two teams, Dawan Landry playing his old team? Not exactly a must see for the nation.

4. Awful offensive play throughout the entire game.

Ken said that he hope that MNF game didn't hurt us on getting any more in the future; I doubt if one badly rated game deters MNF from coming back to Jax; The Jags  had regular(maybe even above average) rated games before in the past. There is no consistent link concerning 'lowly rated MNF games' and Jacksonville for them not to return to Jax.
