Jags Vs Ravens-MNF

I decided to go ahead and start the topic today with a positive post a Ravens fan left on Jaguars.com:

" I know I will probably get killed by the Jags fans because I am a Raven Fan, but I wold like to let you guys know that we understand the "No Respect" issue. We don't get any either. In the AFC if you are not the Patroits, Steelers, Colts, or Chargers you do not get much more than a mention. The Jets only cus Rex talks gets press. Press for our record usually gives our wins as something the other team didn't do. So I unerstand.

Yes we are favored and should win, but I do want to tell you that your team does concern us somewhat. Your running attack and defence reminds us of the Ravens a couple years ago and that was a formula we used to beat superior teams.

You guys are growing and I like what I see. I want to wish you luck but not too much to beat us. I feel you do have a real chance to take your division and your style is the kind that could win playoff game. Maybe the NFL media machine does not recognize you, but I do and wanted just to lket you know that. See ya Monday. GO RAVENS!!!!"

I have noticed the media does not recognize Jacksonville, but most teams have mad respect for us. Even in our bad years, we have given alot of teams hell. Upseted Pittsburg in 2007 during the playoffs, caused heartbreak against the Jets in 2009, and let not forgot us causing JJ and Dan Marino to step down after the epic beat down in 99/2000 playoffs. I love our team and will continue to pull for them. Even as a city, we have to love ourself before we expect the nation to love and respect us. Cut the negativity, embrace the good and bad, and lets play ball!

FYI- Titans got smashed by the Texans 41-7!! Seeing them lose will always bring Joy to my heart. (bastards killed out SB dreams).

Exactly what are they to recognize? Duvaldude all you mentioned is a distance memory with no divison titles or SBs to back it up with. Maybe we should be more concerned with the Jaguar organiztion/front office building a team that can make a deep run in the playoffs. Unless were talking about past Super Bowl wins all what we did in the past is pointless.

Hopefully after next yrs draft we will have a contending team.

And heres keith to piss in my teal kool aid. Keith can you be positive for 5 minutes? I know you can be positive for 30 seconds because you have done it before. Lmbo But seriously, just wanted to post something positive in the midst of adversity. We all know the team has issues right now. That is obvious. We know you think we are delusional, don't like the truth, etc etc. You have been heard. Just was nice to see someone elses perspective of our team. That is all.

A typical Keith response LOL. I guess that when we where a young franchise going to the AFC Championship game, and winning the division, that meant nothing in the world of Keith; No one is resting on their laurels concerning going to the AFC Champ game but as a Jags fan, you'd think that would mean something. I can't wait until tomorrow night. Go Jags!!!

Right! Every franchise goes through ups and downs. And well... we are down right now... but I know it will turn around.. even if it is next season... Im just taking it game by game. And like you said, nobody said anything about us going to the AFC chamionship let alone winning the division Just trying to find positive in a very negative season.

Im a realist also. And from day one, they never respected the Jags, and thats a fact. No one has every respected us as a city, let alone respect our team. They never wanted us to have a team. Even when were a playoff team, we were overlooked. So you can call it media BS, but its the truth. If you are not certain teams, no matter how much you win, you will not get recongition. And that is the god honest truth. For example, look at the Texans. The best record they had (so far) is 9-7, never been to the playoffs but yet every year their the NFL's media golden child to win the division. (not to mention there team is 9 years old) My whole point is, bump what anyone has to say and love our team in spite of.

I have get more pleasure wacthing the Titans for personal reason as most Jags fans do (LOL) but anyone in the divison getting creamed is good for me. Atleast we are not alone LMAO

You sure about that, I think back in the day they did get respect when they won alot its just a distance memory now.
You spend to much time worrying about the media I think. Just ignore and dont read the articles, thats what I do. DONT worry I'll supply you with the negativity.
