Has anyone else heard the rumor about Fred Smith (FedEx) buying Weaver's share of the Jaguars?  I heard it from a couple different sources last night that would have a reason to be know.

ESPN did a small piece ( I think it was at the request of Weaver) about how unlikely it was that the jags would be sold ... and even more unlikely that they would move.  It was mentioned that if and when Weaver would sell... Smith would be a likely candidate... provided he commited to staying in Jax.

yeah its no secret WW will eventually sell the team. Its getting up in age and he"ll be ready to retire in the next couple of years. but it will be someone whose committed to the city.

Charitable contributions from the owners of NFL teams are a very inefficient way to redistribute wealth.  They take part of the money that we give them and turn it over to recipients of their own choosing.

What we really need is something like the bounce that New Orleans got from the Saints.

Redistribute wealth??  ::) :o Lets stick to the Jags victory here...  :)

A new topic might be... The Weavers Inefficient Wealth Distribution Machine.
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

"redstribute the wealth", laughable.  Seriously?

Would somebody please bench Cecil shorts? We wasted two or three downs on him last night. We just should have kept Sims-Walker in all night in his place.

We have work to do to sell out our next two home games. 12 ,000 plus for the Houston game and 11,000 plus for the Charges Monday Night game.

Did Shorts drop any touchdown passes?

Short can not call a ball PERIOD. I have no clue why we have him out there. He has not caught one ball in six games. having him out there is pointless.

Anybody else love the "Freddy" chant last night as much as I did?  When is he going up on the wall next to Boselli?

Jimmy needs to go up first, then Fred.

Very proud of the Jaguars mainly the defense. I have zero voice right now, exciting game and the crowd was full of energy. Hope somebody got some good pics. First round is on me. :)

Yeah, the only mention I heard was via the Times-Union Jags twitter feed, and that only mentioned that Weaver had denied the FedEx rumor and insisted that the team was not for sale.
